  5. Koppers lures are nice I got the craw crankbait and shad crankbait last year. Ill have to pick up the bluegill and pumpkin seed in both crankbaits and lipless this year to try. Plus those frogs look amazing! This is my first g loomis rod that I have owned and im sure it wont let me down
  6. I got mine last week! Yeah it feels nice but I wish there wasn't so much ice on the lakes, makes it hard to fish it It would of been fun to go to that sportsman show but I was out of town for work so maybe next time ill have to swing up there.
  7. I like my fuego for shakey heads, its a M,XF, 6'10". Its a fantastic rod just like the zillions. They also have a ML version which is nice but like the zillion models they are a bit underrated in power then what it says, so it depends on what you do. Model# TDFG6101MXS, lure weights 3/16 - 1/2. I dont dropshot very much but this i also double up for a dropshot rod but by no means ideal.
  8. I just received my NRX yesterday and looks great but I have had time to put the reel on it. Ive been a little worried
  9. I don't know anything about the kvd rod but the mojo is a nice rod and St.croix is a great company to buy from. 7' MH will suit your needs and will work great for ripping it out of weeds to.
  10. I also use them without a problem.
  11. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has lost countless lures to those d**n gators.
  12. I have only a daiwa fuego and i love it! Thats the extent of my knowledge about them
  13. I always use 6.4, unless im throwing only deep cranks then ill go to a slower speed reel.
  14. Alright thank you for the help, I appreciate it. I better go with the MH then, sounds more like what I need.
  15. Thank you, missed that on the search. I was thinking between the 802 or 852 but leaning toward the 852 cause the length and supposedly it has a bit more backbone. Maybe could get away fishing a little bit of heavier cover. Then I keep thinking if I should bump up to the MH and that will still handle lighter lures.
  16. All this talk about them i kinda want to pick one up now and check it out. Out of the lineup anyone recommend one over the other? Im more looking for a light tackle rod for small jigs, lighter t-rigs and etc. Anyone have experience with the lighter end of the rod lineup?
  17. I just ordered the XH with the zillion type R, instead of the pluton, im hoping it works nicely. I was pretty sure you would say that steezy about the rods and reels. I would love to put a steez on the other 2, I could settle with the 6.3. Its a magnificent reel, worth every penny
  18. Ive been waiting for Daiwa to come out with a left hand in there steez 7.1 but no such luck as of yet. I was wondering what would be a great reel to match with my steez rods? I have a couple core 51's on them now which only does 28 ipt and the regular steez does 26ipt, so not much difference. I'm looking much closer to the 30+ ipt, nice and light and Steez quality. Oh and also to note that the core reels don't fit secure on the rods, Ive had to use a piece a tape to snug them down. I contacted both daiwa and Shimano and they both told me that's its the other company's incompatibility.
  19. I use it in everything but braid and I can notice a difference. The hot water would cost less Let me know if it works as good, never even heard of it.
  20. Im pretty hard to buy for so I always get money and gift cards. I then got myself a underwater camera for ice fishing. Theres 10 inches of ice and like 3 feet of snow here! Also getting a frog rod and a new reel.
  21. X3 on stradic FI but love my fuego to, maybe I like saying it "Fuueeggoo" Rolls off the tongue nicely. Also cool to hollar fuego bass when you catch a bass. Always wanted to try a CI4 but never pulled the trigger, im a little partial to shimano but really getting into daiwa last 2 years.
  22. I have the 6'6" jig & worm, and 7' small cranker. Both are great rods and would recommend them to anyone .
  23. I agree either would work, I perfer the 7.1 but it doesnt come in lefthand! So I went with a 6.3 to try it and it works great.
  24. Daiwa Fuego 6'10" MXF
  25. Everyone has there personal preference but i was using the St. Croix LTBC66MHF until just recently and just loved it. Depending on cover MH 6'6" - 7' in length and a F to XF action will work. I prefer a fast action mostly because i think the XF makes it a bit more difficult to throw accurately for me. The thing that always confused me was every company's actions are a little different so that's were the personal preference comes in and just being able to use or at least handle the rods for yourself is the best way to get a feel on what you like. Tons of good brands and tons of price ranges to choose from. Im pretty new at this to so i hope that helps a bit.
