Southern minnesota
Was wondering were some good places to fish in central to southern Minnesota? I always go up north of park rapids to our cabin and fish or the lake in our town albert lea and have travel around a bit but I want to know if there's some great places I'm missing out on and need to go to. Thanks ahead of time!

What the....How do you...
Yeah I'm right handed and learned spinning gear left handed so why change. Im more accurate and figure working the rod takes the most work and precision to do and why not use your dominant arm? Reeling is the easiest part.

Daiwa Zillion Casting Rods
I have the 6'6'' Med XF and I love the rod, i use it for "Finesse" rod. Its light, well balanced and imho very sensitive. The Med feels more like a MH btw. Ive never used a Dobyns rod before but Ive heard good things with there 2nd generation rods. I guess they had some problems when they first came out but that's all i really know about them.

Daiwa Fuego Spinning Rods
I bought the 6'10", MXF this winter and took it out the other day matched with the 2000 series. Feels wonderful....light, sensitive. Like the previous posters have said, its as nice as the zillion series. I thought they would of been a bit underrated like the zillions are imho but my medium feels like a normal medium!

Steez rod question
Has anyone used the new SVF-XBD Braided Line Rods (XH, F, 7'4")? Or the STZ671MHFBA (MH, F, 6'7)? I can get them for about 350 each, not including shipping. MH sounds like a great heavier cover jig rod but the XH, sounds pretty crazy. Anyone have input on either rods?

Questions on what rod to get
If i was to choose a g loomis rod, which one do you think would fit my needs the best? SHR821S? maybe SJR842S, BSR852 and maybe a DSR820S. Anyone have any ideas?

Questions on what rod to get
Took a look at those Dobyns online and they look quite nice. The 702 seems like a great idea and the lure weight is rated at 1/2 instead of 3/8 like on the LE which seems like it would be a bit more versatile rod. There is a fair amount of grass and rock mixture, not so much of a plain rocky bottom but i really wouldnt consider it heavy weed cover.

Questions on what rod to get
I was looking for a shakeyhead and dropshot rod. I was looking at St croix XS70MLF or XS69MLXF or maybe even a diawa fuego TDFG691MLXS. Theres a lot of company's to choose from, what would i need to look for in a rod to tell if one is good for a either of the applications? Is there a rod that could do both applications great or better to get 2 separate rods? If you think 2 rods would they be able to handle any soft plastics or trig applications and so forth? Would be great if i had a more versatile rod but i just want to make sure it will do either of those jobs beautifully I'm pretty new to all of this and would love the help, thank you ahead of time.

G Loomis IMX vs GLX
The normal size jigs i use are 3/8 and 1/2 oz. I do go above that but is it better to get 2 or is there an all around model that will take care of 3/8 up to 3/4 maybe 1 oz? Same problem here I'm unable to test all the rods out myself cause i live in a small town in cabelas never carries to many loomis rods. It seems to be shrinking more and more....My other jig rods are MH and which i do like the feel of it but maybe i would be more happy with a H action to move those fish out of the trees. The lake i fish most at is up like 15ft so there are alot of brush and down trees around the entire lake. Anyways thanks for all the info so far

Need a new rod...
Crucials are nice but i think the XML is or the XMLTI are a steal for the price if you can still get them on sale. I only own a 6'6 M spinning in the XML series and I love the rod.

New Shimano Core

G Loomis IMX vs GLX
I am looking for a new rod but is it worth the extra money to bump up to the GLX? Is it that much better for the $100+ difference? Ive been searching for the answer but i don't seem to see to many comments on what they think. Thank you for the replies

High end rod advice
I have the small cranker and the jig and worm in the St. Croix LTB, Ive found them to be wonderful rod. Either the IMX or LTB, I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with either one.
