  1. I love that show, by far my favorite.
  2. I use the same St. Croix for punching, its very nice and has never let me down. Though I've never tried it for frogs so I can't comment on that.
  3. Daiwa Zillion 6'6" M XF, thats my personal favorite
  4. I'll second the bumping up to a Heavy action. If its mostly heavy cover I would get the 7'11 Heavy, that's what I use for punching. Otherwise that 7'6" will work fine for everything but the thick junk.
  5. X2 My personal 3 jig setups Big jigs/Deep water: Steez XBD/Daiwa Z 3/8oz Jig: Steez Compile X/Steez 103 1/4 jig: NRX 853/Shimano Core 51
  6. Don't be afraid of magnetic brakes, the difficulty is really about the same. I personally wasn't affected by either but with time I prefer magnetic. Though both breaking systems maybe the way to go but I've never used a reel like that.
  7. X2 ( Yoda voice ) The Shimano posse is strong with this one
  8. I've personally never fished the series but got to hold them and check them out when they came out. There everything you would expect for a rod in this price range. For that deal its a easy answer for me, get it! Hopefully there's a daiwa guy left on here to help you more! Good luck
  9. Daiwa Zillion 7' Med Hvy is a wonderful rod what you want.
  10. Quantum Smoke spinner(5.4)/Smoke 6'6" medium-fast: Cranks Quantum KVD PT baitcast (7.0)/ BPS Carbonlite 7' medium heavy fast: trigs, jigs BPS Pro Qualifier combo (6.4)/ 6'6" medium heavy fast: spinnerbaits
  11. Steez XBD I use for frogs and big jigs in deeper water
  12. X2 The Daiwa T rods are nice for a stick under the $100 mark. My buddy has been fishing with them for awhile (Maybe since they first came out but not sure) and has had 0 issues so far. As with the rest I've only held them in store so I can't comment on them. Though I'm a big St. Croix fan so the mojo May one to look at even if it may a bit tip heavy.
  13. I also thought of trying it with TW sunline sale (buy 1 get 1). I to may have to experiment for that price
  14. 6.x is a great do all ratio. If your doing a lot of deep divers lower is better. Daiwa Crazy Cranker
  15. Steez M Flexlite and a Steez 100 Though a spinning outfit would be ideal which I do use on occasion
  16. Not sure your max price but one reel off the top of my head would be a zillion. Built like a tank and performs beautifully
