Try a 5" weightless and weedless on a 1/0 EWG. Fish them anytime you think the fish are in water 4-5 feet deep or less (or at least are at the top of the water column). Cast, let fall for a few seconds, and twitch/swim them back. Or bring them back as a topwater. I can loose either the WalMart, or $$$ spinnerbaits with equal success! So, if I'm in risky water, I'm gonna go with the $1 bait! I lost a WalMart SB yesterday - a perfect cast, but the 20mph wind blew my line over several tree limbs so the SB is now hanging from a tree limb like a Christmas tree ornament - just my part of getting with the season... ;D wouldnt a perfect cast account for the wind? ;D

when i get into casting reels(possibly in the coming spring) im gonna have to get a left hand reel as well. i cast with my right hand and reel with my left hand, always have. im right handed. i always feel more comfortable if im working/holding the rod with my 'stronger' hand. there will be no need to switch hands

actually, i didnt purchase anything fishing related either. i did however opt to buy a couple video games myself for the Wii

ive been catching fish on the walmart $1 spinnerbaits for years. i got some ive caught more fish than i can remember on and the skirts are still just fine. i have more problems with strike king skirts. the $1 buzz baits suck though. but for $1 you cant go wrong with the spinner baits. in fact since theyre only a $1 i have given them away to friends who liked them when they saw me catching fish with them. some fishing snobs might overlook all the cheaper priced baits, but i certainly wont especially if theyre productive...

you could say a lot of fish are not the best tasting fish, it really all boils down to personal preference. i dont eat fish at all anymore(i used to, even bass) but i dont mind others keeping any fish of any sort as long as its within the law. just because its your(and many many others) beloved sports fish doesnt mean others are doing wrong by keeping bass to eat. to me it sounds like youve never even tried bass to know how it tastes

id almost guarantee the last year or two of the contract is/are voidable dummy years. only in place to make the total value appear bigger. nfl teams and agents do that all the time. realistically its probably a 3 year 50 million dollar deal. and just because it says 40 million guaranteed doesnt mean thats the true guarantee of the deal either. it was probably a smart move to resign mcnabb only because it allows the skins to build other parts of the team like the interior offensive line, wide receiver, running back, defensive line, and safety. it gives you a solid QB to hold down the fort until the skins can afford to risk playing a young qb prospect of which they dont have yet and probably wont till the 2012 draft

i have a couple shakespeare combos that have held up very well. one a spinning and one a spincaster(which happens to be my lucky setup, go figure). both are the tiger models and have longer rods though. my shakespeare spincaster is an older model though, the new ones are junk if you look at them, the spinning reels aint bad at all though for the price. both cost around $20 for the combo.

i was talking about wittens redzone production and tds. you said they hadnt targetted him there recently, my point is he hasnt been much of a target there at all, it goes beyond recently. witten is good between the 20s though. and LOL at even throwing martellus bennetts name out, the guy is a bust and jerry jones was an idiot not to trade him to the bengals when they offered a first round pick for him after his rookie season. its a shame yall lost phillips to IR, he is better than bennett and probably can produce close to the numbers witten has receiving, plus he is the best blocking TE on the cowboys.

dont let people talk you into thinking theres something wrong with big game. ive used 15lb big game for stripers and it held up just fine. line stretch and all that crap is overrated if you ask me. now if im trolling for stripers, i use lead core line with a 20-25lb big game leader

i never hold my rod tip down or in the water and i dont have a problem with losing any fish because of them jumping. in fact i love to see a fish jump on the end of my line

Austin is the best player on the team hands down. With regards to the comment about Witten being one of the best tight ends in the league, if you only factor in blocking, then this is true. He doesn't stand up to a lot of tight ends when it comes to actually getting yards and scoring points. And someone doesn't understand the game. Dallas hasn't targetted Witten as much in the red zone recently. Another problem with the offense. Witten is considered one of the top 5 TEs in the game and has been for some time. and someone who doesnt know their team well either. recently? witten hasnt been a redzone threat since 2007 and only had 1 td in 2006.

i wouldnt recommend a zebco 33 for bass fishing. i was using my 33 one day bass fishing in a pond, a little 1 pound bass hit it so hard it stripped the main gear inside. seriously, for a kid, i would just get them a $20 spinning combo from walmart. and actually, i got a $20 lightweight shimano spinning combo from k-mart several years ago thats holding up just fine...
