The Road To The Super Bowl
I see what you're saying but I disagree completely. Philly has an explosive offense and Dallas has a terrible defense. If Dallas tries to play conservatively to milk the clock, how many possessions are they realistically going to take away from Philly? Best case scenario, maybe 3? That isn't going to be enough. If Dallas runs the ball, (semi-successfully) 35 times they might score 17. That isn't going to be enough unless their defense really steps up, (unlikely). Their only hope to win is to score as many points as possible, that isn't going to happen running the ball. Now, if they get a 3 score lead on the Eagles, (also unlikely) then by all means run the ball every down.

You're right, not sure where I got 30 from.

Foles started the week 7, 30-3 loss to Dallas too.

The Road To The Super Bowl
In my opinion they're both mediocre teams. I do think the Eagles will be better next year, (assuming that they don't lose any key players). Their QB and their coach will have had more time on the job and should get better. To say that they are more than mediocre this year is wishful thinking, I'm just looking at their season. I don't think they can hang with any of the really good teams in the NFL, not this year. The Cowboys on the other hand, will be a .500 team until Jerry Jones is no longer in the picture.

The Road To The Super Bowl
We'll see, they've only beaten like 2 teams with a winning record. The Bears win was very impressive but they've had some bad losses against some bad teams. I don't think they are much better than the Cowboy's, although they are better with Foles over Vick. Time will tell I guess.

The Road To The Super Bowl
I agree with you. The Cowboy's are a .500 team and there's no way around that. I don't think they would have beaten Philly this week with Romo and they d**n sure won't without him. He has a herniated disk, Garrett hasn't officially ruled him out but he isn't playing this week. Sean Lee has already been ruled out. The outcome of Sunday's game doesn't matter much because Philly sucks too. Neither team will win a playoff game.

Topwater Lure Id
You know what a spy bait is but haven't ever seen a prop bait, that's funny. Heddon makes a bait called the "Wounded Spook" that is like a regular Spook with props. I doubt that's what it is but that's what it looks like.

Is This The Right Deep Cranking Combo?
I like 12lb fluoro for deep cranking. I don't have any experience with the 10xd but I don't think I would throw it on a regular deep crankbait rod.

So Let's Hear It! What For Christmas??
That's perfect. My family started a no gifts for adults policy a few years ago and it makes Christmas infinitely more enjoyable. My Grandmother takes the Christmas money she would have spent on everyone and donates it to a different local charity every year.

Kvd 1.5 Split Rings
A size 3 is a good all around size for most crankbaits.

It had me at Arlington, Ft. Worth and/or Shreveport, pretty d**n close.

Braid Color?
I like Sufix 832 in green. I use 50lb test on baitcasters, I fish a lot of heavier cover and grass and I like the way it handles better than the thinner braids. I wouldn't go any lighter than 30 on a baitcaster. I don't worry about the color of braid, the water I fish isn't clear.

Battery For Side Imaging Unit
I charge mine immediately after use. I think it's best for the battery to keep it fully charged.

Battery For Side Imaging Unit
You are absolutely right, thanks for catching that. I meant to grab the one next to it. The link is fixed now.

Battery For Side Imaging Unit
You need a 12v sealed lead acid battery. I use a 12ah to run my 798 on my kayak. I have a buddy who uses a 12v deer feeder battery to run his 798 and it doesn't last through a full day of fishing, I'm not sure what the ah is on his though. This is the charger I use. I'm sure you could find one cheaper but this one works great. http://www.atbatt.com/amstron-12v-3a-sla-battery-charger.asp

Infinity Bass Rods
That rod is probably a very good all purpose rod, it isn't a ML though. Lamiglas rates their rods a little differently than other companies. That rod is a 723, which is a 3 power and usually rated medium by Lamiglas. At any rate, it should make a decent all purpose bass rod. As far as the reel, get one that you feel most comfortable with. The 4600 seems a little big to me but it should work.

Favorite Jig And Craw Combos
I make my own skirts and attach them to Cadman jigheads with Owner and Gamakatsu hooks. Best jigs I've ever used, see no reason to ever buy commercial jigs again. I use trailers from many makers depending on what I'm trying to accomplish.

Gary Yamamoto 6" Single Tail Grub
Do that or put them on a 1/4-1/2oz jig head and have at it. Grubs are awesome baits fished by themselves, especially bigger ones.

Infinity Bass Rods
This is the most bizarre question I've ever seen asked here. If the rod is a casting rod it will work with a casting reel.

Sell Me On A Shimano Reel
My personal favorite Shimano is the Curado 100d, although the E series reels are great too. I don't own any of the higher end Shimano's though, if I'm going to spend over $200 on a reel it's going to be a Daiwa.

Fd's 5Th Annual Fishmas Loot Thread
Too funny. I have several different Yo-Zuri crankbaits but no jerkbaits. I will give it a good workout this winter, for being a mostly clear bait, it throws a ton of flash. The Kelly J is one of my favorite topwater baits, especially during the bluegill spawn. Like you said, I love the Megabass line of baits too, can't go wrong there. I will let you know how the White Python does! Merry Christmas to you!
