Look for a Daiwa with a SV spool. In reality, any baitcaster will cast Senkos and weighted T-rigs pretty easily.

Not trying to change your mind as I'm sure you've thought about it and have your reasons. I'm really putting it out there for anyone else new to carrying. I think it also depends on where you live. I live in the city and open carry here is a recipe for disaster.

Hackney - 1 Evers - 58 Hanselman - 23 Matt Lee - 71 Lefebre - 62 I didn't have a great event but having the leader through 3 days sure helped my score. Hopefully Hack can hold out 1 more day. Chris Lane had a really hot streak for a few years but his last couple of seasons have been really tough.

You are also subject to being the first guy to get popped when something goes down. Open carry puts you at risk and totally negates the element of surprise that you would otherwise have.

Eh...availability of parts doesn't have anything to do with who makes the best reels.

I swap all my 1.5 size sq bills up to a number 2 short shank hook. There are several different hook options from Gamakatsu, Mustad and Owner. If you don't go with a short shank hook keep the size the same and stick with a 4.

Mainly just the weather. It's been fairly cold but is warming pretty quickly and will throughout the tournament. Based on what they're saying fish are wanting to move and aren't really grouped up anywhere. There are fish deep and shallow but it's pretty scattered.

This is really tough, I've changed a few of my pics a couple of different times. The way the conditions seem to be setting up it's wide open.

You can join as many groups as you want under the same account/team. Unless you just like playing more than one team, which is cool too.
