  1. Nice going SL! I hope you win the whole dang thing. I had a horrible tournament. Hopefully I will pick better for Wheeler.
  2. The way the show was edited was awful too. The show was 85% them chopping through canes but the footage was all cut up and put together completely out of order. It was painful to watch with no payoff. The 2nd episode was just about as bad.

Enjoy your sunburnt hands, I'll keep wearing gloves.

For me, anytime the sun isn't beating on my skin it's cool.

I've used the Mangrove gloves and the Glacier Gloves, (both with the "leather" palms.) I honestly really like both pair. It's so nice not having to deal with burnt hands.

I was a little young for Prince during his heyday but I like a lot of his stuff now. He was an amazing musician and will be missed.
  7. Yeah, I kind of agree with your sentiment. I love the Rage line of baits and I love Fat Impacts. I'm sure this will be a successful bait for SK and it doesn't bother me that they made this bait. However, to act like this is some cool, new design seems kind of silly.
  8. It covers my needs.
  9. Honestly, you don't need fluoro, especially 10 lb on your spinning reel. Take it off and get some 10 lb braid or 6 lb mono. Go out and have fun, don't make it harder than it needs to be.
  10. Lucky Craft Kelly J in Flake Flake Male Gill.
  11. I never really understood why people use filler fluoro as leader material, besides convenience. If all you're doing is tying a short leader, why wouldn't you want to use the best material available?
  12. Beautiful set up Maico.
  13. I see no reason why that wouldn't work.
  14. Some things in life aren't meant to be taken so literally, fishing is one of those things.
  15. Unless I'm mistaken (which is possible,) Lamiglas didn't make a 5'6" Excel bass rod. It's probably been broken and re-tipped. If that's the case it's worth nothing. If it is an unaltered rod, it's probably worth about $50 in good shape.
  16. The 2017 Classic will be held on Lake Conroe, near Houston. The weigh ins and Expo will be held in Houston. Conroe hosted the TTBC for 4 or 5 years and always put out huge bags. This should be an awesome Classic.
  17. That gold handle is sweet! I need one for my CQ.
  18. Tighten your knots slowly and use plenty of spit.
  19. Nice! That's impressive. Keep it up and win that boat! I'm in the 83% right now, not great but not terrible. I haven't started looking at Bull Shoals yet.
  20. It should be a graphite mod fast.
  21. Inline spinners probably are technically a "beginners" lure, it was one of the first lures I ever threw when I was a little kid. I bet a lot of you did too. That has nothing to do with its effectiveness though. Anyone who would ridicule someone for using an inline is either ignorant, arrogant, insecure or a combination of the 3.
  22. I've had mine out a few times so far. It's a phenomenal reel.
  23. Have you had a chance to fish the JD much yet?
