  1. I tie direct to an oval split ring 100% of the time.
  2. That's odd. Most of the fishing stuff I've seen on their website has been below MSRP. Well, it was all rods and reels though.
  3. The choice to use spinning or casting has nothing to do with the size of the fish you expect to catch, (in bass fishing,) it's about the weight of the bait you intend to throw. Bass spinning rods are mostly aimed at finesse fishing and aren't suitable for throwing heavier bass baits.
  4. Boomerang Snips, snell knots are kind of a beating though.
  5. ....and, if you're going to call yourself a "bass fisherman" and you don't know how to use a baitcaster, "bless your heart."
  6. You're right, that's the one I remember too.
  7. That's still a great price for a carbon fiber handle. That is one major benefit of buying an aftermarket handle. You can get much longer lengths.
  8. How long are your BPS handles?
  9. Learn to use a baitcaster. Don't limit yourself because you're afraid to try something new.
  10. Who is lying about baits they use? Why on Earth would that deserve a fine or penalty? This makes no sense.
  11. Go under "account settings" and then to "signature".
  12. Cool, hopefully they will run well for you.
  13. We were so much better off before "social media." It's not going anywhere though.
  14. It's a punch rig. I'm sure you could use it like a regular t-rig or jig but it's made for punching.
  15. Neither, I throw a 7'3" MHF for those techniques. I definitely wouldn't want a mod fast action.
  16. If they are the Yakima Lee Sisson baits, don't buy them. They are junk.
  17. CX is a great copoly. It is strong but doesn't have a ton of memory. It's my favorite non fluoro line.
  18. A TON of pros throw stickbaits at tournaments. It's not a flashy bait but it puts fish in the boat and does catch big fish. The pros definitely use it.
  19. That's awesome, I was hoping he would take care of you.
  20. I've got several I like to fish but the Zoom Z-Flat is my favorite for cold water.
  21. Looks too good to be true. There is a $300 minimum to buy anything and they don't seem to take paypal.
  22. I watched a show this weekend where they were using those to troll for tuna off shore. I think they were also trolling them to catch dorado on a different episode. They are big but I'm sure a bass would bite them in the right situation.
  23. This is from the same event on the same day. The water was really high but falling. Several guys had been successfully running to the dam the previous 3 days. Falling water made it more treacherous by the end of the tournament. Jared Miller isn't even fishing the Elites anymore. Had he won that tournament he probably would be still. I can't blame him for taking a calculated risk to further his career.
