Lowest memory fluorocarbon???
I use fluoro for cranking but find that memory is less of a problem with crankbaits. The bait is fished on a tight line and it straightens back out pretty quickly. I would save the Tatsu for t-rigging or jigs, although it will work fine for your purposes.

Spring Forward You Must
Yep, if it weren't for this, my life would be perfect.

Noob looking for Casting Reel advice $225 Max
I think I would be looking at the Curado 70, (actually the Scorpion 70) or the Tatula CT Type R. Those are the 2 reels that interest me in that price range.

Bananas have been considered bad luck in a fishing boat for years.

New rod has super close guide to tip
The rod I have is a 7'11" HMF Rage rod. I thought it was very odd when I first saw it but it was new from St. Croix.

New rod has super close guide to tip
Yep, I've got a St. Croix rod with a guide about an inch and a half from the tip. Closer than I've ever seen on a factory rod.

Early Spring Crankbaits
I'm on that 77X, interesting bait.

Nice, I was this close to buying that reel but the lack of the anti-reverse switch was a deal breaker for me. I imagine it is a pretty sweet reel otherwise.

Daiwa Cronos
I don't really have anything to add but I am interested in checking these rods out too.

Aldebaran MG or Alphas SV105
I have the Alphas, never fished the Aldebaran. That said, the Alphas is great but it isn't going to blow your doors off or anything. If you're a Shimano guy, stick with the Alde.

Megabass s-crank
There's a little sticker on the bottom of the package. It's a great bait though, I don't care where it's made. Megabass has dropped the prices on some of their baits, this one included. I'm sure that's part of it.

They do have a few odd colors on those baits. You don't see many swimbaits with metallic gold either. Looks like a good bait to add to the small glide bait box.

That's a nice looking bait! I've seen several Duel baits recently that looked really good, might have to check them out.

Best Drop Shot Rod
Do you want the "best" drop shot rod or do you want to spend $150? Can't do both.

Old school rubber skirts
Yes, very similar. I grew up fishing H&H spinnerbaits with rubber skirts. Haven't fished a sb with a rubber skirt since then.

Ultimate Jig outift!
This is what a custom rod is all about! Did you go with a conventional guide train or something different?

Geico Bassmaster Classic
This 100%! It's not that guys like KVD have lost their edge, it's just that the whole field is good now. Every guy in the Elite Series can fish and can win. Electronics have evened things out a lot too. It really makes the accomplishments of guys like Edwin Evers, Aaron Martens, Chris Lane and Todd Faircloth even more amazing. Those guys have managed to win multiple events over the last few years, Evers and Martens twice in the same year.

Geico Bassmaster Classic
It was live online all weekend long and the coverage was spotty at best. They have to go through hours and hours of footage to make a decent tv show.
