  1. I fish with rods anywhere from 6'6" to 7'11" from a kayak. Length doesn't factor in for me.
  2. You're starting to embarrass yourself.

Cool, we definitely don't have them in TX.

Interesting, everyone I know that uses "white perch" is actually talking about crappie. So, what are you calling white perch? White bass?
  5. Just about anything. Use your imagination.
  6. Unless the rods use the same mandrels and exact same layering of scrim, resin and carbon fiber, they are not the same.
  7. This is pretty common, especially with rods utilizing micro guides. I wouldn't worry about it unless it drops below the blank.
  8. I bought a casting and a spinning for $89 each when they first went on sale back in the summer. Both rods still have the tags on them but it was too good to pass up.
  9. Why would anyone buy a reel from a company known for making rods that break if you look at them funny? They're trying to use their name to sell reels but their name is mostly worthless.
  10. They've got a 2 speed spinning reel coming out too. Lol
  11. Do you (or anyone) know if they ship those B rods? I might have to call them tomorrow, I'm very interested.
  12. I add them to my boat collection of course.
  13. I have one too. For what it is, it's great. It doesn't really fit anyone's hand well but it disappears in a front pocket. Mine has been 100% reliable and I actually shoot it pretty well considering how small it is.
  14. You should also know that when you say "finesse jig" people assume you're talking about a skirted finesse jig. Not a big deal but might help you get better feedback.

One of my favorites that I don't think has been mentioned yet is the Lake Fork Ring Fry, full size and baby.
  16. I would try to save up more money and get something decent. Check out the Abu Garcia Black Max, it seems to be a decent budget reel. Academy has some good reels cheap in their H20 line. As for the 2 you listed, you might not find anyone here with experience on those reels.
  17. I pitch straight fluoro, 16-20 lb, unless I'm fishing heavy vegetation. In that case, I go straight braid with no leader.
  18. Just thought of 2 more. One of my favorites, Serj Tankian from SOAD and one that most wouldn't think about, Chester Bennington, from Linkin Park. I saw them at a festival once and couldn't believe the pipes on that guy. Live footage on youtube confirms it.
  19. MJ is everywhere. lol
  20. You can say what you want about Metallica's albums post "...And Justice for All," but they always put on an awesome show and play a lot of the old stuff.
  21. I believe the BLGAT is the one I usually use. Either should work just fine though.
