  1. Post a pic of the reel cleaned up if you have one.
  2. Tournament Choice makes really low end stuff, in my experience anyway.
  3. If that's the case then something is wrong with your reel. Will the spool spin while the handle is hard to turn?
  4. Yeah, you need to loosen it way up. You want the spool to spin.
  5. Buy them individually. Unless a set happens to have exactly what you want, it's a waste.
  6. I think you're also right. Or at least I've assumed the same thing.
  7. I've had the older silver ones and still have the blue XT. They were fantastic reels. I haven't used any of the newer ones.
  8. I'm def getting one but I'm waiting until they have them for sale in Japan.
  9. They're great, Digitaka is another place that is good to buy from. Their prices are a little higher but they do free shipping. Also, because of Japan's time zone, you would be best ordering soon. I think it's mid afternoon there.
  10. I don't think you're understanding. Getting from Japan to the US isn't a problem and happens very fast. Getting from Customs, (in the US) to you is the problem. More often than not, a small purchase gets through quickly, you just can't guarantee that. It could show up in a month with a duty fee due upon reciept. It doesn't happen often but it does happen.
  11. Just because some guys got their stuff in 4 days doesn't mean you will. I've waited 3 weeks before for a reel, customs doesn't get in a hurry.
  12. You might want to take your address out of your profile.
  13. If you don't mind spending the money, the Aldebaran 50 is a tiny reel.
  14. I agree with DVT. Unless I'm fishing really nasty stuff I don't use a big heavy meat stick for pitching, (don't do much flipping.) I use a 7' MHF and a 7'3" HXF for 95% of my close in work. That rod you listed sounds like a big, heavy punching rod. If you're not fishing that kind of cover, get something lighter that will handle your lighter stuff, as well as, heavier jigs and t-rigs.
  15. How is a coach going to justify playing two QB's if one is better than the other? It's hard enough to win games in the NFL, you have to play the very best players you have available. I can't imagine too many scenarios where a team would have two competent, evenly skilled QB's. One guy is always going to beat the other guy out and the position is too important to play the lesser guy half the snaps. Also, how is a team going to pay two QB's? If they're both good, they can both get QB 1 money somewhere and the salary cap won't allow for 2 max salary guys on the same team at the same position.
  16. I don't know, I just think it's hard enough to find one competent QB and some teams look for years. It might work for a year or 2 in the right set circumstances but 1 of your QB's would get paid to leave and go be the starter somewhere else. With the salary cap I'm sure it would be next to impossible to pay 2 QB 1's and have much left for other positions. All that said, QB injury helped kill my team's season, so I'm all for 2 good players at that position. I'm hoping they draft a QB early, if there's one they like.
  17. I'm sure they would love to but there aren't enough QB 1's out there for every team to have one, let alone two.
  18. I like fishing the regular Swing Impacts on a jighead. If I'm fishing cover or feel the need to use a weighted swimbait hook I will move up to a larger bait or at least an Impact Fat.
  19. What about something like the Megabass X Pod? Even if he can't get a great walking action down, the bait will still be productive.
  20. I assume he's talking about the 806CB. It should be perfect for what you describe. I have the 805RM and love it. It can handle the 8 and 10XD but it's not ideal, the 806 should be perfect.
  21. Pline CX is a good copoly line. It replaced YZH for me. As far as handling, abrasion resistance and stretch, it's probably somewhere between YZH and YZUS.
  22. Well, they made the Lindners their own rod series that I believe included walleye rods, not sure about musky though.
  23. As a random side note, I just saw that the Lindners recently signed with St. Croix. They were still using Quantum reels but with St. Croix LT rods. I thought that was cool, for who knows what reason.
  24. I think the top one is an ABT. Not sure about the bottom one.
