  1. Congratulations LastCast721! Can't wait for next year! Thanks to iabass8 for setting this up.
  2. Last night, half of TX was under a tornado warning and the other half was under a blizzard warning.
  3. I'm not a smallie fisherman but I like the Bite Me heads. EDIT: Looks like they may have gone out of business.
  4. Think about fishing a jerkbait like you would fish a topwater popper aggressively.
  5. In general, if the bait comes with a split ring, that's the way the manufacturer intended for them to be fished. I would tie to the split ring or take the split ring off and use a snap, if you're a snap guy.
  6. Keep the Revo and also get a Tatula R, they go for about $130 on Ebay. Decide for yourself which one you prefer.
  7. Cool! This is my first one. I read an article about how they were made and figured I'd better get a couple.
  8. Absolutely, it really makes the claws stand out on a brown bottom.
  9. A little Christmas Eve balsa action. Mutt and Huntin' P
  10. You're right, I'm seeing $199. http://www.*.com/Shimano-Curado-70-Reels-p/shimano-cu70.htm
  11. It's nice to see them listen to their customers, can't wait to get my hands on one.
  12. Oh ok, that might be considered Canadian Whiskey. You just said "made in Oregon," that's the only reason I said anything. It really isn't important anyway.
  13. I don't think it's Canadian whiskey if it's made in Oregon. Not knocking your recommendation, I'm sure it's good.
  14. Check out these new shallow cranks from 6th Sense. From what I can tell, they aren't available in stores yet.
  15. I haven't fished the bait so I'm not sure from personal experience. I was always under the impression that it was a sinking bait, that's why I never bought any. Many online vendors have it listed as sinking also. Hopefully someone who has actually fished the bait will chime in. Edit: I found a picture of a bait in the package, it says "slow sinking."
  16. It's supposed to sink. http://www.luckycraft.com/luckycrafthome/JPItem/TopWater/KellyJ.htm
  17. The next time I see someone cast a baitcaster with no brakes and light spool tension will be the first time.
  18. He is probably a tattooer or piercer, I don't think anyone else in the country would hire him....for the rest of his life.
  19. This is an interesting look.
  20. That lead weight is infinitely more aerodynamic than that crankbait so it will cast much more easily. Try the crankbait on your other reels with the same rod, in the same wind conditions. That should tell you if it is the reel or something else.
  21. I loved playing with the shorter bench this year. It kept things so much more interesting because no one could stash players. It's probably also why the league was so competitive. You can count me in for next year!
  22. Looks great! You will feel like a seasoned pro when you start on your second one.
