Need contact information on the bass club, Tyler,Texas. Is this an open membership club?

I need some feed back reviews. How do you like or dislike it?

I am an ole' horse shoe'er and boron is used to make shoes rough to allow for horse walking on pavement without slipping. I guess it can be taken to another level and made into rods, never heard of boron rods.

Anything you can catch on a rod and reel you can catch on a fly rod. I use a 8 wt rod with 8 wt line and 10 lbs leaders. I tie my own flies and fish like there is no tomorrow. I have sinking line to fish deep and floating line to fish shallow. Simple change out of reels and keep on fishing. Great fun esp. when you tie you own flies, deer hair for top water and anything that will sink for streamers. You can get hooked' on the fly rod for bass.

Get all you want through Jo Baby Lure Co. in a gazillion colors and cheap. They have a web site.

I have fished it many times.I have never caught fish on both at the same time but it does work. Rig it the same as a drop shot but with heavier line and regular fluke hooks with leader about 36" long. Work it like you do a Texas worm rig. It Works.

Hey the trim motor was fine, 45 minutes labor cost and hook up of wire, I am back on the water, Thanks for the info...

My Big Motor is a 2008 Yamaha 50 hp. When making an attempt to raise or lower the motor nothing happens, dead, nothing. When I got back from the lake the motor was raised all the way up and it was off the rest on the trailer. When checking out the switches I noticed the front switch has the trolling motor cable press up against the switch. So, I am thinking it raised the motor being jarred around, didn't notice anything on the way home. I hoping for a switch or something other than a trim motor, the cheapest I saw on the net is 220.00 and I think that is for a rebuilt.

I went out this morning and when I arrived back home by big motor was raised up full tilt. I made an attempt to lower it down and to rest it on the fork. The motor will not move. I checked fuses and the battery, all Ok. I went to the front of the boat and noticed my trolling motor cable was resting up against the trim switch. I am wondering if the trim motor is now burnt out? :-[

I think the best advise is to get out in the heat more and drink more liquids. I do stay under the AC probably too much, Thanks guys. 8-)

It is over 100 + each day and doesn't cool down until late in the night or early morning. I can not get over the heat and seems to affect me more now than ever in my life @62 years. I need help to deal with this issue, any suggestions? Help an Ole' fart out you guys :-/

The Jitterbug is the best for night fishing. I started with one and was having the same problem, lost more than caught the first night. Went to Gander Mnt. and got another black one thinking the other was bad. Same thing happened the next night missed more than caught. I am going nuts by now, so I ordered the 1.5 oz giant Jitterbug knowing I was getting bit on the lure but was just not hanging on to them. I got the lure and fished the night it came in the mail, missed more than I caught on the big lure but noticed I was hooking bigger fish. I was nuts by the time I got home the next morning. Went back to gander Mnt. and was talking with this older Gent(approx70yrs) took me the the Mustad hooks told me to get 2 'auts then to the split rings and told me to get a bag of them and my problems would be over. That night back out and caught several fish on both the large lure as well as both 3/8 lures, now I have 3 black jitterbugs and have not missed a single fish on either of them.

I have a Kevin Van d**n signature bait caster 7:1, 7' MH rod needs line. I have a 1310 Quantum bait caster 5:1, 7' MH cranking rod needs line' I have a Sedona 4000 5.7.1, 7' MH kevin Van d**n sign spin rod needs line. I have a P :-[ :-[flueger president 6735 5.2.1, 6.5' All Star med action rod, needs line. Now I have Vanish fluorocarbon 14lbs. have Power Pro braid 30lbs test. and I need to purchase 2 more spools for my reels. My question is..What line should go on what reel, fishing totally for bass. Past on some wisdom if you please!

Living now in Corsicana and fish at Lake Athens. In November will be moving to Tyler. Just moved here from Oklahoma and discovered I moved to the wrong town. We hate it here in Corsicana. Fish at least 2 times a week at Athens, getting bored there and looking to the two lakes in Tyler and palestine and the State Park. Past on some info about the lakes there in Tyler.

Where do you find the fish, Shallow or deep.
