Spinner Baits

Featured Replies

Looking for a great Spinner bait. Actually a excellent maker in order to order.  Glen mentioned 4/4 oz but never a name brand did he?

Check out bassdoser's store. He makes great spinner baits at a reasonable price.

Agreed with that.

However if you want name brand and you're set with the 3/4 oz then I think booyah has some that size on ***.  Other than that i like to throw 1/2 war eagles.

I like to use 3/8oz War Eagles.  Top notch spinner baits.  You can also order from them directly.

i like booyah and like the way stanley wedges spinners look. i asked around for the luminex (i think i got that right) skirts that glenn mentioned but no store i no of have em. i might see if my local tackle shop can order for me.  i also cannot find any good colorado spinners in my stores either. so i might just by the replacement blades and do my own with spinners that i can interchange cause for some reason i dont seem to never order online i always figure can find it in stores and what have to wait for the shipping. so i need to start.

question bout tux and tails do they affect the trailer like a boogie tail any?

I like Strike King, PeeWee.  ;D

I've been using the Mann's indiana-colorado for a long, long time.  They can be kind of a pain with the loop on the end, but they put out a thump like nobody's business.  Have also killed 'em on the Wallyworld $1 specials.

I beleive the bait that was shown in the video was a Mann's "The Classic". Hope this helps ya.

NOTE: "The Classic" is a good spinnerbait from my experiance. It has relatively thin wire, gold blades, produces a nice wake when bulged, comes with a trailer, is decently priced, and caught me my first spinnerbait bass. Give it a try!!!!!!!!!

The "Classic" wrote the book on spinnerbaits.  Indiana/Colorado combination is hard to find off the shelf but like the old Fleck's, nothing beats them.

How are the KVD line of spinner baits?  Looking at getting a couple of these.  The local BPS has them in the Colorado/Indiana blade configuration.

There are a lot of good ones out there, my favorite is the S.O.B. lures

Mini Me in the TJ special color. I also like the Strikezone Nite Bite spinnerbaits for night fishing, though the last night outing that I had used a Black Rattlehead with a large Colorado blade and was very impressed.

Pepper Hawgs are my favorite. I also like Nichols Pulsators, terminators, and some strike kings.

I prefer to assemble my own, thank you. Not that mine are so special, but because i can make them how i want.

I've always done well with Spinners in the spring and not so much in the summer.  Anyone have summer success with spinners and if so,   please share specifics (size, color, depth, particular retrieve, time of day, type & clarity of water, etc.)?
