I have the same problem. I always reel with the left on spinning gear but it just feels wrong trying to reel with my left on baitcasters.

I was raised on spinning gear and always have to reel with my left when I use spinning gear but for some reason I HAVE to reel with my right when it comes to baitcasters. It just doesn't feel right if I don't even though I always reeled with my left hand until I was introduced to baitcasters. It's weird and makes no sense to me.

What's left of lake Fretwell at Cecil Field has been producing pretty well for me lately. My last time out I had about 7 or 8 good fish in about 1 1/2 hours. The water is pretty low in a lot of areas though because they had been pumping it out for some reason. The place is over run with Gar though. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1275429416 I really wish I knew someone with a small boat though. The far end of the lake is really hard to fish from land but I know there are some BIG bass down there.

Man those are some nice fish. My first cast and first fish ever with a rage tail bait was this fish I caught today. Got it on the Anaconda. Caught a few more decent fish on it as well.

Cecil Field.

Fished a lake at an old military base that has been shut down and open to the public. The lake has been drained a lot but the fishing was AMAZING. I was only there for about 2 hours and caught 7, missed 4. One that I missed was HUGE. I'm still not sure if it was a bass or gar but I have never hooked anything in fresh water that big before.

Even though I like some nu-metal I could never really get into their music besides a few songs off of their first album. Kinda went downhill fast after that. Still sad to hear though.

Cmon now. I know there has to be some people from Jax on here that have some good spots. I don't know many but I'll gladly share what I know.

Only had about an hour to fish yesterday and didn't catch much but man was it relaxing. First thing I caught was a huge warmouth. This thing just destroyed my fluke. After that I decided to try out one of the new baits I had just received from ***. Noting special but at least I got something. A family of Geese.

FINALLY got mine in the mail today. Fedex Smartpost is the worst shipping method ever. From now on I think i'll just make the 2hr drive to Savannah GA. It's a sweeeeeet reel though. A lot smaller than I expected but it's really nice. Can't wait to hit the water and try it out.

When I was really young my grandfather taught me the basics of fishing. When it came to bass fishing all we ever used was live shiners and red shad Culprit worms on spinning gear. We did a lot of saltwater fishing as well for reds. He died when I was about 10 years old and up until I was around 18 I never did much fishing because he was the only father figure I ever had in my life and there was really nobody to take me fishing or teach me. I've always loved fishing so much though so as soon as I had the funds to buy all of my own equipment I bought some new tackle and a baitcasting setup and pretty much taught myself. Then after that I found these forums and I really started to learn some things. I still have a TON to learn though.

I'm really excited to get this real. This is my first order from BPS and i'm a bit disappointed so far though. I placed the order 3 days ago. I haven't received any email updates from them about it and it's not showing up on the website under My Orders. I've called 4 times between today and yesterday about the order. Two times they said it was all packed up, ready to ship, and should ship today (yesterday). Now they are saying it's still being picked in the warehouse and it could ship today.....

Just ordered one of these from BPS and I'm really excited to get it. This will easily be the nicest reel I have ever owned. Before this it has just been round Abu Garcia reels and some cheaper LP reels. Any users of this reel want to share their opinions on it?

Activision is milking this franchise to death just like they did with Guitar Hero. They already managed to kill Infinity Ward....not all we have is Treyarch. 3 and WaW were terrible.

I'd like to know some good places as well. There are a few ponds near the Kernan/JTB area that are pretty good and I've had some luck in the big pond out at cecil field but that's about it. I've seen a few HUGE ponds out in the Ayrgle/Oakleaf area but I've never really tried to fish them.

I've never heard of that. I always toss fish back where I catch them and i've never had that problem.

Wal-Mart is alright. A while back I bought a ton of 3x plastics (worms, crawls, lizards, zeroes) for .10 a bag.

I was shopping in the mall here with my fiance (ohh fun...lol) when I realized they put a Dicks Sporting Goods in there. I went in and was very excited to see that they had the rage tail baits. I picked up some of the Anacondas.

I bought a pack of Strike King Shim-E-Sticks for $3. They are really durable and they sink really slow with a nice action. Caught 2 bass over 5 lbs the first time I used them.
