My Wal-Mart only sells those crappy Eagle Claw hooks.

Hook Set With Plastics???
I use to let the fish run but all that seemed to accomplish was more gut hooked fish. I reel down and set the hook as soon as I feel the bite.

Do Big Baits Always Catch Bigger Fish?
I catch more big fish when I use bigger baits, but I still catch big ones on small baits and small ones on big baits. I caught a 6lber on a shakey head finesse worm a few days ago and then yesterday I caught a fish on a Horny Toad that could barely fit the thing in it's mouth.

Your Worm(S)?
I throw other types of soft plastics a lot more than worms lately but if I must catch at least a few fish the Zoom Trick worm (white, junebug, green Pumpkin/chart) never lets me down. I'll also throw Culprit worms (pumpkin seed, red shad), and the Zoom Ultra Vibe worm (junebug, watermelon red).

How Have You Done This Year Thus Far?
I've caught more nice fish (5+ lbs) so far this year then I have in like the past 2 years combined. I've been using soft plastic swimbaits and the fish have been crushing them.

Swimmin' Super Flukes
I haven't used the Swimmin Fluke but I've been catching tons of fish on the Cane Thumper which is a really similar bait. I've been using it with an Owner Weighted Beast 6/0 and the big fish have been crushing it. Most of my bites come on the initial fall or the fall when I stop it in the middle of the retrieve.

All Over The Big Ones Today!
Had a fantastic day today. Caught over 10 fish in two hours including 4 nice ones. The biggest and most of my other fish were caught on a Cane Thumper while the others were caught on a Rage Craw fished across the top after the sun went down. The first two pics are the same fish, the biggest one I caught today. It's hard to get good pictures when you're by yourself lol.

Abu Garcia Veritas?
I love mine. Light, sensitive, and has held up to a lot of abuse so far. They seem a bit stiff though. A Medium is more like a Medium Heavy and a Medium Heavy is like a Heavy so keep that in mind when buying.

Pond Fishing
My number one go to bait for small ponds is a Zoom Trick Worm. You'll find out if there are fish or not pretty quickly.

Two More Big Ones Today!
Green pumpkin 6" Zoom Lizards texas rigged. Got lucky to catch the biggest one. Had him hit once and he snapped my line as soon as I set the hook(rocks+braid=bad). Re-tied and cast in the same spot and he nailed it as soon as it hit the water.

Killed Em With The Rage Craw
Finally got a chance to get out and fish today, it's been way to long. Was using a Rage Craw with a keel weighted hook, I love how versatile this bait is. Started off fishing it on the top like a frog and caught a solid 2-3 pounder on the third cast, then caught a smaller one a bit later. As the sun started to come out I started giving it a steady retrieve about 3 feet under the surface and I got 3 more solid fish. After that slowed down I just started bouncing it off the bottom and caught a few more, including my biggest of the day. Not bad for 3 hours of fishing.

Sad Day Of Fishing
I'm just curious as to how much water it takes to keep a decent number of fish alive. Every day the amount of water shrinks more and more. There may not be anything but a puddle left before it rains. I'm gonna go check up on it tomorrow to see how it's looking.

Hot Enough Fer Ya?
It's brutal here in North FL. 100 degree temps and lungs full of swamp fire smoke as soon as you walk outside. I tried to fish in it and ended up passing out on the sidewalk and busting my head open. Should have drank more water.

Nice Fish And A Snake From This Morning!
Swimming Rage Craws has been a big producer for me this year so far. Wake them right under the surface or fish them on the surface and hold on.

Sad Day Of Fishing
Before After Picture #2 of before and #3 of the after tell it the best. Both pics were taken less than one month apart in almost the same spot.

First Time For Everything
Luckily I've never had one go in past the barb...yet. It's bound to happen eventually though. I've thought about going the barbless hook route. Seems safer for me and the fish.

Ps3 Move's Sharpshooter
If you have played the old Socom games and liked them don't expect 4 to be anything like them, not nearly as good. The Sharpshooter is fun but it get's boring and loses it's "coolness" factor quickly. I'll take a controller or preferably a mouse/keyboard over it every time. It'a pretty good though for people that struggle with a regular controller.

Sad Day Of Fishing
Went to the usual spot and it is almost completely wiped out. 2/3 of what was lake is now land and what is left is split into two sections with fish trapped in both. It was about a 10 acre lake but even full the average depth was around 2-3 feet. Tons of fun to wade fish though and loads of bass. I just found this spot a few months ago and it is LOADED with big fish, now i'm afraid they are all going to die. All I see swimming around are Gar and Mudfish. I saw two dead bass floating.
