heres the pond

i went fishing at bowies pond which belongs to fort ap hill. same pond where i caught the bowfin. its filled with lilies and grass. few covers like fallen trees, logs, a dock. i just got me a baitcaster i bought the pro qualifier combo with 7.1:1 ratio reel and 6'6 mh rod. i went with 30 lb braided line. but anyways. i went back last night and had some good hits on the rage tails frog but couldnt bring none in. sadly last night was a skunk for me. they would wrap themselves in the pads and free themselves off the hook. this morning i went with my brother to same pond and we didnt do to bad just nothing big everything range right at 1.5 lbs. but we did manage to catch 4 bass and 1 juvenile pickerel. my brother caught his bass and pickerel off the culprit fire tails while i caught two off the rage tail frog and 1 with the spro bronzeye frog. i tried some worms and cranks but no luck. i destroyed more rage tails than getting hits but it was worth it but now i have to buy some more. frogs. i posted pics and dont laugh at the glove it gives me confidence lol. my only true downfall was losing most of my frogs and my trolling motor just doesnt have the power. i could row faster with one paddle. also man the bees refused to leave me alone never once bothered my brother. on a side note if these are the small guys ill take em but if they're bigger one out there im coming for you. from the hit i had the other night he felt much bigger than the guys i was catching at least i want to say 3 lbs or so buy the action it did give me. sadly got away but it might been another bowfin too or something else.

i stand always mainly cause im using a jon boat and my seat is just mounted on existing frame seat.

man what a jump in pb. congrats to him. yea my wife will hate me too i have to go get more rage tail frogs from bps or somewhere. went throw three packs over the weekend. them lilies are just destroying them.

yea they are some fighters. if i land anymore cause they will eat your bass lures i hope its a monster too (now that i got grippers lol) but im getting fit to go back out no i got the pole replaced. ima hit them pads up again.

yea he put up a good fight. and he was 4.4 lbs i just look p our state record its 16. 8 lbs how to believe with their figure the weigh that much but they all meat. i found a website where guy says their good to eat and he recommends it. our state record for bass is 16.4

yea i thought he went for my leg so like i said i ran from him. but yea i had to take my pole back i wanna say i stepped on it getting away from him. but it broke so i got a new one i bought the pro qualifier combo. and put 30 lb braid line on it so i can fish the vegetation. but in process yea i got me a gripper, more rage tail frogs, and went ahead and got a reel cover for the reel ima start covering all my reels. and thinking bout the fish he might just been 2 feet. i should measured him but he started jumping on me it was noway i was getting no him with my hand. i caught some out the river but never this feisty.

congrats thats why i have the hardest time quiting its always one more cast. even with live bait (catfishing) its another 5 minutes.

i went out this morning on my jon boat that i just got and was using rage tail frogs and in the lillies i pulled this out it was at least over 2 1/2 feet near 3 feet long and was on my scale 4.4 pounds. he was a real fighter. i want to say a bowfin. i tell you one thing he scared the (censored) out of me. when he flopped at me i ran up to the front of the boat i knew he was about to bite me. when got near my leg. sorry for the pliers i was not bout to grab him and im going to bps to get me some grippers for these guys and others like him. one thing love those rage tails.

thats like me luckily i wasnt using lures just minnows but i pulled out a three foot snapper. when i seen his shell i step further back on land. i tried everything to get him on land and finally he snapped my line.

well i will give my one pack a shot got em might as well. i just thought they would be better reviewed being that xps is usually highly reviewed on line and lures. not sure bout the rest. i usually buy vmc's but my bps dont sell them. do bps even carry vmc's and if not why?

ALL ABOUT THE PB, CONGRATS!!. i got mine over the weekend too. i havent used the shakey heads lately, been trying some cranks and poppers out. the poppers are doing me good, cranks not so. but back to you congrats again.

never know if it a good value deal or not till you try.but what problems you had with them??

yea i just looked at mine korea but hey hopefully get the job done than i wont have any complaints.

i hear the ponds i been fishing are loading with pickerels i just never landed one.
