FivePoundBluegill, i would think they would work better in fall, but i haven't had luck one them before. I'm not sure if the would work in California's clear water. I fished in Northeast with it and caught nothing.

Micropterus, kvd said that it was a killer swimbait for smallmouth. I think its better swimbait because it can move at faster speeds, which most of the others swimbaits can't.

your right Munkin, when you get a taste of the best, its hard to go back. Just like food, it can hurt your wallet though :'( Sometimes you forget that the least expensive lures also catch fish. rago swimbait for $300.00's, i would never buy a lure for $300.00+ unless its made out of gold or diamonds.

best to have a horizontal pic with you in it, most people are judgemental on size of fish if you only hold it with one arm. 1-9lbs vertical, or horizontal 10lb+ horizontal, take the pic within less then 3ft range. I did take the pic of tropy fish acouple of feet away from the person, big mistake because it makes the fish looks half its size.

pressured fish, i mean look at how many baits are available nowadays. I would think it would be harder for anyone to keep up. "Really depends on how much fishing pressure is in your area," and "how hard you try to keep up."
