  1. What's the secret to walking the dog? How much does the rod length play into it? How do you get the cadence going? I practiced today but I gotta tell ya. I was better after I left the water but I found it extremely ackward to move the rod and the reel handle too.
  2. Me
  3. Amen to all that has been said. Thanks for your dedication to us.
  4. Make sure they have a good time. This may mean you can't fish like you want. Your reward will be a lasting legacy the kids will remember forever.
  5. And then there's that question about how far is "good casting distance".......
  6. I use T-rig about 90%. Do a search on bass fishing rigging. This should get a lot of hits. The first one is probably this place. Bassresource.com. Lots of information here on rigging.
  7. Welcome home. What kind of Rod and reel equipment you prefer?
  8. I like Bassin alot. Like someone else said, I get the best information right here. I too buy alot of DVDs. I like the enthusiam of Stacey King. He gets me excited about what he talks about and keeps me interested. I like Woo Daves teaching style so I have all of his DVDs and VHS tapes. I have most, if not all, of KVDs videos. Woo and KVD teach on different things. Woo is good if you're just starting out. He was a tremendous help to me. Plus, when you write him, he writes back. One thing I learned early on is you have to decide who you're going to believe. There is a lot of contradictory information out there. I settled on this website and have not been sorry. I get my most elementary questions answered without attitude.
  9. Welcome aboard Ron! You're in good company!
  10. I'll take a copy of your notes too! Thanks in advance.
  11. I'm not sure that question can be answered definitively. It's like the less filling--taste great dilema. I suppose it depends upon what you value more. More fish or bigger fish.
  12. That's great! I wish I could have been there. Sounds like all my favorites were there. From what I've been told, most of the pro guys are down to earth people. I'm glad you got a chance to meet them!
  13. Bassin is one of my favorites.
  14. I didn't care for LMB. I agree with other posters that McGinnis is a little too sappy. I didn't see any comments about BassTech. I thought that was funny. I'll withhold an opinion about Charlie Moore until he accepts the challenge.
  15. I'd be interested in the answer too.
  16. I tell you this. This absence really just validated my feelings that this is the best bass resource on the net. During the absence, I had a chance to check out some other sites. What a mess. Glad you're back and better than ever.
  17. I know others will come along and answer. I've asked this question once and got several good suggestions. Do a search on winter reading or books.
  18. Raul did a nice post on this topic about two months ago. Do a search for his name. Well worth the read.

    The Bait Monkeys
  20. Yep--official team name: The Bait Monkeys
  21. I think they help. Like the other poster said, it's a lot better than an article. I learned a lot about worm fishing with the DVD "Wormin with Woo". I'm still picking up little tips. Bass Pro Shop has a slew of DVDs.
  22. Ok--I just looked at the picture again. Where's the baitmonkey????????
  23. I think I'm gonna cry! This is way too cool. When is that poster going to be for sale? I'd buy one for sure. LBH, great job.
  24. Welcome racefane. Lots of good stuff here. Join in!
  25. Handy, I'd like to know more about what he did too!
