Need Quick Guidance On Storing A Fish For Awards
The best way to determine if it is a brook trout is the leading edge of all the bottom fins will be a bright white. Unfortunately, I don't see that on the picture you provided. Look at the photo that Bird Dog provided and you can see those fins. Anyhow, that is one dandy trout. Congrats!

Hand Again....
The concern many of us have isn't that it will be for the rest of his life, but for "later" in his life. A quick look at many of our profiles will show that we're mostly part of the grey haired bunch of this crazy family. More importantly, is that many of the dark haired group may not realize is that many of us are going through the very aches and pains that we're trying to warn him about. Aside from a tendon in my right thumb that locks up every once in awhile, most of the abuse I put my body through resides in my knees. I'm sure the rest of these old farts can give their own war stories about parts not working like they used to. There are two lessons that most folks could learn from this discussion. The first is that we all thought the same way when we were younger. Secondly, is the fact that when someone asks for an opinion, you're probably going to get one.

Pickwick Tournament
And the hand? I'm really not trying to pick on you too hard, but you are starting to remind me of a guy I went to high school with. Whatever you do, I wouldn't follow his career path. He tried the butchering trade until he could only count to about 7 1/2 if you know what I mean. So..... When and where is the next stop? Where you at in the year-to-date standings?

Not Too Shabby Of A Start...:)
Dang Vinny, while those are some nice looking fish..... You sure look like one pale yankee! You gotta try to make it to next year's road trip. Sunburn lasts a lot longer than windburn!

Louisiana Flooding
I saw on the news today that the shipping industry in New Orleans would lose $300 Million dollars a day if that port was closed. It would seem only just that the thousands of people displaced over this got compensated.

This Is A "black" Bass
Great fish! I'm sure you've heard it before, but I'll add a thank you for what you and Rage Tail are doing for the vets too!

Some Techniques Just Don't Seem To Work.
Good for you, never say quit! Now when you finally start catching them on one of those things, drop me a line and I'll go buy a new one. The buzzbaits I used to have I gave away.... to people I didn't like!

Ideas For Building An Anchor?
And here I thought I was the only one to use a window weight anchor. They're a great option if you can find them.

Hand Again....
Just an idea, but at this point you might want to consider saving the following link..... http://www.adaptiveoutdoorsman.com/handicapfishing.html

Cell Phones......worth The Aggravation?
Oh, the bad old days when I used to think the same way. The good news is that at some point in time you will learn that the only customers worth having are the ones that understand that nothing demands 24/7 service. You'll find out that the good clients are the ones that don't mind you taking a vacation were no cell phone tower exists. Until that point, I would suggest that you start to train your customers in the same way I trained my clients. Exceptional service requires an exceptional price attached to it. It was rather funny to see the look on the face of one clients when she asked me for the phone number of the Canadian outfitter who was flying me into the bush for a week of fishing, just in case she needed to contact me. I gladly explained that I was taking retainers of $2,500, just in case the bush pilot had to fly me out to take her call. It ended up being a nice quiet week!

Awesome Day!
That's awesome! You got the chance to create some new fishermen.

Friday The 13Th
Just nothing better looking than a smallie that has come from Great Lakes water. Nice fish Dwight, what did she weigh in at?

Need Some Opinions
Same places, just tighter to the cover and in a little less active a mood. Just might be the one time when a Senko's slow fall could work best.

What's Your Trip Of A Lifetime?
I could suggest a quick pm to Dwight to discuss a few of the places he has been. As for me, it would be a fly in trip to the northern part of Hudson Bay.

State VS State Results Thread
Keep giving it to 'em Dwight. It's obvious that you are making the most of a great resource around Erie. When you combine good fish and a great stick, you get these results! Keep it up!

A Big Thank You!
Congrats on hitting that milestone! A-Jay informed me last weekend that I was getting to that point too. Regardless of how long any of us have been here or the amount of posts we've made, this IS the best bass fishing website I've ever come across. Whether it is a young person such as yourself, a person living in the golden years of retirement, or anywhere in between, everyone adds to the overall family that we all get to enjoy. I don't think that anyone who has spent time here hasn't learned something, right along with possibly teaching the rest of us too. Thanks for adding your part to this great place.

Crushed Em On Saginaw Bay
Great Pics! That one fish would compete in the "State -vs- State" thread. And how in the world did you get the chance to get out there on water that flat? I've never seen it that calm out there.

Michigander Checking In!
Welcome to the boards neighbor. Bass Resource is an awesome place to learn whether you're just starting out or if you're an old codger that's been fishing forever.

Mother's Day Qoutes
That's the kind of wisdom that sounds like it was taught to that young man by a Grandpa!

New Pb Rainbow Trout
Snap weights are a good option for extra depth so long as you have a couple of guys in the boat. Like fishing with birds, you need an extra set of hands to remove them as one person fights the fish as another clears the line of whichever or both that you're using. Since I've bought this boat I find myself trolling quite often for either trout or walleye. It was almost impossible to use a bassboat to do this so I ignored this type of fishing for years. It's kind of nice to just spend a day or so dragging lures. Especially when the wind is howling too much as there are a lot less issues for boat control.

Man Do I Feel Dumb
I don't think you're alone in that club as I've seen it happen to quite a few people including myself. The Lund has to have the trailer backed in just the right amount and requires some amount of hand cranking to get it on the trailer perfectly straight. It is a lot harder when you are doing it all solo too.

5" Berkley Power Minnow (Discontinued???)
I think you're refering to their Jerk-Shad baits. http://www.berkley-fishing.com/products/soft-bait/powerbait/jerk-shad-powerbait If they're still on the website they should still be available from somebody.
