ardent Denny Brauer flip/pitch reel
Lol Daiwa braid is MUCH smoother through guides then Fireline braid lol! I know you love that stuff and it is good but its not up there with the Daiwa stuff in the smoothness, tightness of the weave and Dia department's lol Daiwa stuff makes less noise through recoil guides then anything fireline braid is a pretty close 2nd in the noise dept. Its just a rod in that price range should be Ti/Sic's or even Gold cerment. not those stupid Recoil pieces of $h%t IMHO and a whole lot of peeps will agree Recoil guides arent good for anything Ide rather have a set of Fuji Alconites then recoils. I HATE THEM I dont want them on any rod I own and if I REALLY like my NRX's I will have them re-wrapped to full Ti/Sic's.

Anyone have any opinions on these rods.
yeah thats to much rod. guys IM6 rods can be sensivtive... of course not as much so as the really super high mod rods but take a Daiwa L&T worm/jig rod.. I had two of those years ago and they was/are a very sensitive rod IM6 rods that are built well will preform well... I assure you if you got a L&T worm and jig rod and put a good FC on it you will feel everything just fine.. its sensitive enough that you dont even need braid to really feel the bottom with it.. where you really loose feel in lower mod rods is when fishing mono... A good FC or Braid will make even crappy rods feel way better then they are.. take a L&T and put mono on it and you will still feel things fairly good.. Like take it vs a Vendetta and the vendetta is higher mod graphite and I BET the L&T is more sensitive will any type of line.. so dont just go by IM and MOD ratings... they dont really tell the truth lol.

What are some good frog rods under $200
130.00 Daiwa -S Rod 7'6 Heavy make a good low priced rod that is good for frogs and is a really good very very tough and pretty sensitive flipping/Pitching stick 140.00 Team Daiwa Light & Tough Frog Rod makes a nice frog rod and a decent flipping stick... I believe the S rod is more sensitive tougher slightly heavier but better balanced and the reel seats on S rods are really comfortable.. If I had to fish a cheaper frogging rod or flipping stick it would be a 7.6 S rod. I have both of these rods I havent fished them in years but I remember I liked them both and really liked the S rod and its a broom stick lol plenty of power from tip to butt in that rod and if you dont abuse the rod it isnt gonna break they are wicked strong.

Alternative to G Loomis products
To me, 50 bucks is hardly a substantial altercation when you're paying 400-500 bucks for the product. I noticed you conveniently left off you can only use it once now as well. But I made sure to note it lol :

Need a Decent Swimbait Rod
A dude I sold a reel to a while back called me up and was like if you ever have a open seat on the boat let me know.. anyhow I called him about three weeks ago and we went he had a Daiwa Heartland Big Bait Special there like 70 bucks and its rated at 1/2-6oz's or 1-6oz cant remember it was a 7'6 rod.. I threw it a few times and was wowed at its a 70 dollar rod.. its balanced and its not crazy heavy has a nice tip and its stout lol... I dont know if thats a little to low end of a rod then you want to go but IMHO it fished well from what I seen I mean its not a high end stick by any means but it seemed like a heck of a 100-120 dollar stick at much less then that... when I fished it I was like how much was it 110? hes like no 70 and I said wow thats impressive. I could feel the tail of the kicking on the Roboworm EZ shad swimbait with a Owner beast 6/0 1/4oz hook I rigged on it to play with.. he said he had 20# Berkley 100% FC spooled on the Daiwa BBS I sold him and like I said even on the very end of very long casts I could feel the tail with ease I caught one on it about 3lb's got bit about 80-100 feet away from the boat and had no problem feeling the strike and popped it to her and the rod just man handled the fish as you would expect.. this rod is really worth looking in to for a well priced nice quality swim bait stick.. I have a Few JDM rods I use for swim baits and Daiwa Steez 7'4 Extra Hvy that I use.. I dont have any rods that are rated at over 3ozs but I never throw baits over 3oz;s anyhow.. So I'm gonna buy me one now that Im talking about it lol im glad I checked them post out cause I wouldnt have thought about it if I didnt! I'm ordering it as soon as im done typing this.. I want a rod that I dont care about cause its cheap and it preformed well and it can handle some big stuff lol way bigger then anything I will be throwing im sure. Im gonna mount a Daiwa Millionaire 203 CV-Z on it that I have laying around and spool it with 25# Sunline Shooter FC.

Looking for new spinning rod. Suggestions?
Daiwa Fuego spinning rods run 200 but you can find them new on ebay for 150-160 with free shipping... Those rods a long with the Zillion casting rods are stellar in there price range... Those Fuego sticks are very sensitive (the Zillion casting and Fuego Spinning rival The Steez in Sensitivity) they are very light and very very strong.. you will love the reel seat they are so comfortable its crazy... they will out preform any rod you had listed i assure you.

Pinnacle Perfecta Worm/Jig rod
I love ACS reel seats... they are used on a lot of my JDM rods and to me they are really comfortable and have a very "Sure" feeling in hand.. I love ECS seats to but I would have to say ACS is my FAV. A lot of people with big hands hate them I dont know why I have big hands and they just fit so well!!!! Glad you like the rod man! enjoy it

Daiwa Tierra and Advantage
I bought my nephew 3 Advantage HSTA (The super tuned one) and he absolutely LOVES them.. he likes them more then the Fuego's I bought him with TW had them on sale at like 118.99 I believe it was in late DEC early jan.. I bought 6 Fuegos and gave him two.. to me the Fuego preforms a lot better but he really likes those HSTA's I have played with them some to just to check them out and they are impressive I got them new in box for like 115-120 on ebay like 2 years ago for him He likes them better then the Fuego's because he is so used to them I fish a lot of TD-Z's so I love the frame of the Fuego.. performance wise the HSTA cast really well handles 1/4oz lures with ease and can go lower but you wont get much distance.. with a 1/4oz trap on a 6'10 mh rod (I dont member what kinda rod he uses I believe its 6'10) and 12lb mono it cast plenty far its a very smooth reel that you can tell is solid and built well... the drag is very very smooth and hold up well. IDK about the Tierra but im sure its a great reel and its more less an Advantage but I would def. go with a HSTA I know you will be happy that reel simply preforms and it cant be touched at its price point. you should be able to find the in the 120 to 140 price range brand new with ease... a nice used one on ebay should be like 80-90 bucks... that reel is a steal at anything less then 120 dollars its a great reel at 140 from what I know of it... he fishes with me A LOT and he fishes with my dad A LOT so those reels have been well used and I have never cleaned them or did anything other then put a drop of rocket fuel on the spool and side plate bearings from time to time, and they have been flawless and still feel like they did the day he got them.

Yup 100% and not only should you be grand papied lol in you shouldnt only be able to get one rod replaced.. there was no limit on it back then... now its a one time deal per rod and thats BS... When stocks drop from lowered sells they will do something! probably go back to how it used to be. or suffer smaller bonus for the CEO's lol You will never win the fight bro they are gonna say your wrong when your right.. but thats what some people on forums do... at point of sale you was told this...then it changed and you have to pay the same thing as someone that buys the same thing after they know the new terms... its wrong simply said and it doesnt matter if I got mad and snapped it over my knee... I was told no questions asked 50 bucks its replaced well then I expect to have it replaced for 50 bucks when I snap it over my knee... It has nothing to do with carelessness it has nothing to do with clumsiness it has to do with Loomis backing out on a deal that helped make them who and what they are before Aug 1st... now they arent so hot and if these NRX's arent totally stellar then Loomis is in for a rude awaking. If I broke one of my NRX's because of something I did the one time free replacement is cool and im happy with that because I knew thats what it was at point of sale. now what in two months there gonna say no more 1 time free replacement we now have a one time half price replacement? lol She-Mano is something else! One time I broke a GLX BCR852 casting a 3/8oz jig with no trailer so I wasnt over loading the rod with weight on the cast... it snapped at the 2nd guide the rod was about 20 casts old (I had the rod for like a year and a half) and Loomis wouldnt replace it free said it was from throwing to much weight... then I had a BCR802 GLX that I broke high sticking and it was 100% my fault but I wanted to see and sent it back and boom new rod for free. lol that was 2-3 years ago sometimes I dont know about them but I did love there no questions 50 dollar new rod deal and so did all other peeps that fished loomis...we will all see how it ends up and I truly believe it will go back to 50 buck... but I believe it will stay only a one time replacement now. thats my opinion and you know what there like.

Alternative to G Loomis products
My car is not a graphite fishing rod. Nor does Toyota offer/advertise a flat rate repair or replacement program for a set price. If they did and my car broke, I would expect them to replace it for the price they advertised as the replacement cost at the time of purchase. If I were building an arsenal of rods today, I would shy away from Loomis simply because of the $100 replacement cost. I will however call Loomis in the AM and express my concerns, in hopes of only having to pay $50 to replace it. I doubt I will get far but we will see. That was a pretty rude post by him bro! and your reply was dead on! when a big part of the reason someone buys your product is the replacement program and then you up a change it well that says a lot about that company! I ordered 3 NRX's I had to try them and I do like my GLX's dont fish them anymore they just dont have a place on the boat with all my JDM stuff but I used to enjoy fishing them VERY much and they was/are stellar rods. I will let you all know about the NRX's when there in my hand.. they will probably be sold off pretty quick or put away in my fishing room in the rod closet.. but yeah Loomis killed there sales by doing this and the will pay for it with less sales. I do have 4 Dobyns Extereme and wow is all I can say I really like them and they are the only non JDM or Custom rods that make it in the boat and stay there. They are very very good rods, very sensitive very strong and look really good... They balance very well with light reels and heavier reels.. I have 3 with Steez 103's on them and one with a Zillion PE on it. they just feel good in the hand and are easy on the eye. if you buy one you will like it better then those IMX's IMHO.... I know I do well I cant say that I have never owned a non GLX loomis... that will change hopefully tomorrow I cant wait to fish my NRX's and see if there what the are cracked up to be.

Has anyone used any of the Trigger x products?
yeah I bought them at 2 bucks a pack at wal mart (The ones that are in their own sent pack) I bought 6 packs of tubes and 10 packs of flukes... I have caught fish on the tubes and caught a LOT of fish on the flukes.. but the area I was fishing the flukes at I always kill them there on flappin shads and pretty much any type of Pearl color fluke type baits. So who knows about the sent but they are tough and catch fish.. I have a lot left and I would buy more at 2 bucks a pack but I wouldnt pay more then 2 dollars a pack.

Stanley Double Take frog hook?
Agreed I fish ONLY Owner hooks and for something else to be in my hook box really speaks a lot about that hook lol... These hooks increase hookups A LOT and you wont have as many come unbuttoned with them because most times they are double stuck... you dont loose many with a single hook on these type of lures anyhow and with the double hook I havent lost one fish yet and I say I have landed 60-70 fish on ribbits with this hook ive used them about 3 weeks to a month now. They are worth the coinz if you fish any type of buzz toads. and the points are great I havent used but one hook on all those fish and never had to even touch it up with a file its still pretty sharp I will be hitting it with a file the next time I put a new toad on it lol now that I have thought about it.

spinnerbait setup
that rod will be just fine for spinner baits as long as you dont go to big and over load the rod just as others have said. I would go with a 7.1 reel as sometimes burning it can kill them and a slower reel with eat you alive doing that... You can slow a high speed reel down with ease a lower speed reel trying to speed it up is more work.. modern BC reels (Higher end reels) have HEG like she-mano has lol and lower speed reels dont really feel much easier to reel in hard pulling lures then the new high speed reels with LARGE gears.. I only fish Daiwas and I use a Zillion HLC a Zillion type R and a 7.1 Steez 103 for spinner baits and even the big blades dont work you to hard on these high speed reels. so YES go with a high speed reel you will be happy with it I assure you and it will excel at buzz baits when you want to throw them!

found a great lure and lost it
ahh the hump back Crystal minnow! they are fish catchers for sure! yeah like snook said Wally world sells them for 7 bucks and most have a pretty good color selection in the different sizes. they are very tough lures that just cant be tore up lol stay in tune fish after fish and really catch a lot of fish even the big girls like them!

Bingo. That goes for just about any topwater bait. Why do you think a $4.00 Rebel Pop R in a solid bone color will put as many quality fish in the boat as a bait costing 4X as much ? When it comes to topwater, bass don't know a meticulous hand paint job from crayon scrawlings done by a 4 year old. To a bass, white = the belly of something good to eat... I agree about the color not being very important part But the part about a 4 dollar pop-r catching just as many fish as lures that cost 4X as much? Very not true lol Rio's MB Pop-x's Evergreen One's bug ect ect, Will FAR out preform those cheap poppers... they are made to give that perfect bloop that some guys will buy 20 pop-r's or others like it looking to find one of two out of that 20 that they like and then modify them to give that perfect bloop and spit that kills fish! Those high dollar poppers have that built in! everyone is close to perfect no need to buy a lot of them to find one or two that really stand out and then sit down and mod them... thats why they cost so much and YES they DO catch more fish. Ask any hard core popper guy and they will agree with me!

I was at Icast and I looked at them they are MUCH softer then Spro frogs... they feel softer then a Snag proof Tournament frogs and anyone that has one can tell you there much softer then a Spro frog and its softer then them! I know they are gonna excel in the hookup dept. but durability will suffer who cares tho! if I hook up more on frogs that means bigger fish= Bigger tourney paydays! Im gonna buy 5-6 as soon as I can find them and if I like how they fish I will buy 5 or so more right away!

T-Rig worms help!
T rig worms is a bassin staple.. use a 6 to 7.5in worm (Unless theres some good fish in the pond then 10in is fine to even 12in) Ide use a screw lock tungsten weight in the 1/8th to 1/4oz range depending on the wind and depth on the pond... and a Drag drag drag hop hop drag drag drag hop hop Ect ect. Should catch fish.. Most of the time fishing it that way gets bit in lakes, rivers and ponds.. sometimes they want it just dragged and some times they just want it twitched and hopped... but most of the times the drag and hop will put fish in the live well and some times Dead sticking it can kill them something thats deadly to is to just make the worm quiver right at/in the structure without moving it just very softly shake the rod tip to make it quiver.. Watch your line you may get bit and not feel the strike on slack line I assure you EVERYONE of us here have been bit on a T-rig and not felt the strike even with my uber high end stick's I still get bit and dont feel it from time to time! I watch my line like a hawk!! keep that in mind.. If you havent been watching your line and its slack when dead sticking who knows how many fish you very well may have missed!. T-rigging is one of my top 5 ways to fish and I have plenty of fish over 7# on them and a few 10+'s on them.. 6 pretty much fail safe color IMHO is watermelon red flake, Black shad, Red shad, pumpkin seed June bug and motor oil. I really LOVE Culprit worms (My FAV is Red shad and Black Shad.) and the Rage tail Anaconda is a real fish catcher if you want something that not subtle... just stay with it and you will catch fish T-Rigging.. It catches fish year round in all depths of water in any water way with bass in it all over the world! just try different retrieves, sizes, colors and weights in till you start hooking up! remember it doesnt matter what you fish if you havent found the fish nothing will work! so make sure you are putting it around fish and you will start sticking them!

Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Toad & Mouse Kit
its a good value, they fill up with water more then your premium frogs do.. but at the price you cant really beat them as all frogs and mice fill with water.. the hooks need a file on them a few strokes to get them sticky (They are not sharp at all new) and to me they are easier then the Spro frogs to hook up with as they are a little softer and even being so soft they still dont pick up weeds much at all. for 20 bucks buy it they are fish catchers and look pretty good in the water.. just remember sharpen those hooks or it will cost you fish. Enjoy and good luck! Oh yeah almost forgot to say.. These frogs are VERY hard to walk the frog in open water.. they will but its very hard to get them going and keep it going.. so if you like to walk frogs and will be using these for that you wont be happy... but to twitch and scoot over matts and pads they are not bad at all. I have bought like 4-5 kits of them and never lost one lol.. anytime I see them on sell at the Orlando store I buy a kit or two lol.. If I'm fishing for money I will be fishing one of these the Evergreen Popper and Darter frogs, Deps Basirisky Hard Belly Frog, Spro frog and popper frog, Bobby's Perfect frog, Sumo Frog and my all time fav of this type of lure the MLT Rat'n Rat. If I'm out fun fishing these are in play a lot of times because I dont care when Pickerel or Bowfin AKA Mud fish tear these up!!! I really hate getting my premium frogs and mice tore up by those toothy Florida pikes lol.. mud fish do a number on them to but no as bad as pickerel do one pickerel and its all over for that frog!! Anyhow I know that turned in to a long reply and more info then you needed lol but I'm board and cant get in bed because the wife is MAD!!! at me!!!! lol

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
Very nice!!!!!!

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
But the lure doesn't project the light source out like a laser pointer. The light only illuminates the bill for the most part. I'm not saying it works, I just don't think it's the same as a laser pointer. I guess to me the light "shines" more than "points". yes this is right it dont shoot the beam out.. it projects it on the bill of the lure.. I love there shallow diver and have caught a whole lot of fish on them... IDK if the laser part of its what really catches fish.... the baits are really good quality and the shallow diver really reminds me of my LC shallow cranks and that alone to me is what really catches the fish but the laser thing may really be a big part of it. Also I get them at 6-7 dollars each!! I would NEVER buy them at even close to full price just buy Lucky Craft at those prices.

Senko, Yamasenko, Ika... whaa?
man do Ika's catch fish! you are gonna love them!! I dont buy Yama Senkos.. I have a custom guy pour mine and I buy them a 200 at a time in each color.. my fav is black shad swirl, red shad swirl, blue shad swirl and watermelon red and green flake and pumpkin seed. never been a fan of Senkos because there stupid over priced... my custom poured ones 200 only cost me 30 dollars a bag... he pours them to match a senko almost dead on and when I buy them he pours 100 to fall a little faster and 100 to fall a little slower! but I bet any one that if I put a yama senko and one of my guys baits in your hand you couldnt tell them a part. he does a awesome job and he pours a lot of my soft baits.

Weedless Hooks? Confidence
I ONLY fish Owner hooks they are the best hooks made hands down! and there weedless Wacky hooks are awesome and I miss very very few fish on them. sticky sharp (I wish they came with the cutting point but the Super needle points are sticky sharp to) and grab fast and hold well. Like I said I miss very few fish and cant remember the last fish that came unbuttoned I dont wacky rig a whole lot but I do fish it fairly often.. I dont know about the hook you are fishing but I assure you if you grab you a pack of the owners you will buy more.
