  1. That looks killer. Blue is a key color in the bass' underwater world. The fins of bluegill are blue. The tips of crayfish claws are blue. Is that skirt handmade?
  2. Did you feel up the Quantum EXO PT? I am happy with it even tho I broke one, got a warranted replacement.
  3. I think there is a difference in the shape of the anal fin. Thats how it is for some fish, not sure about bass.
  4. In cloudy or murky water a bass' eyes is secondary to it's lateral line and detection of vibrations in the water column.
  5. A log of noteworthy catches is key. "Either do something worth writing or write something worth reading".
  6. I did the same thing. but in a lake. I had the time of my life. And I learned alot. I think a tube is the best crawfish imitation, much better than a plastic craw dreamed up by a lure maker's fantasy. There were times when I would feed the bass with craws I caught and then drop a black and blue tube and they would INHALE it. Also caught them on live craws. But the whole feeding bass then trying to catch them is kind of un-sporting, even tho u will learn alot.
  7. Like the baitball lures? Seems like livetarget is fully invested in this baitball thing, who knows if they work?
  8. Anybody use the clackin rap?
  9. DVT, thanks for the offer. I stripped my reel down, but I was in over my head putting everything back together. That website alantani helped but my reel is a slightly different model so I was a little confused. Working on reels is a learning process, like other aspects of fishing. So now it is dissembled in a box on the edge of my reel graveyard box. I ordered two new reels, shimano caius and daiwa laguna. I am hesitant to buy a high end reel right now, with the way my revo sx had to be repaired (for the cost of a new low end reel). And my old ambassaduer I have sent it away about three times, the reel is unique and sentimental so I will pay for repair rather than buying something new.
  10. Dt4 baby bass, bandit baby bass, and I also have the yamamoto baby bass but I haven't had the pleasure of using it.
  11. Retie the rigs on the traps and go ICE FISHING, that is if the ice is at least 5".
  12. Is there any kind of lubricant that is salt-phobic? Repels salt?
  13. I just want a house on the lake. With some little lake-worthy vessel. Hard to build what nature created. Even these world class man made ponds have unnatural aerators and artificial fixtures to keep the pond alive.
  14. Whats the best way to rinse? Garden hose nozzle on the mist setting?
  15. The plastic isn't rigid like a crankbait bill, its more like a flexible rubber.
  16. I took one of my combos off the wall today because I was gona strip the line. My revo inshore, which has been a model of reliability, is all seized up. The problem is the thumbar doesn't click down and engage freespool. One side of the thumbar goes all the way down but the other side is jammed. I even hit it with a mallet. Then I dropped the spool and nicked it on the cement. They don't make this particular reel anymore. This reel was gona be my cranking and surf casting reel. Now I must rinse down my reel after every use in the surf. I thought because it was "inshore" it was invincible to saltwater. However I gave it a good rinse before I put it away for the year. I know I could get a brand new real for the price of shipping and repairing my revo. Like a daiwa laguna.
  17. Is the "orange craw" color actually red? It looks totally red online. I haven't seen the lure in person.
  18. not half bad. I think it might be a pike to, dosen't have the defined chain pattern of a pickerel.
  19. Im looking forward to using red lipless baits in the early spring. Ripping it around weeds. Im gona get some redeye shads. Definetly one in the orange craw color. One of the best lures ever invented, and they are fun to fish and cover water. I kill stripers with silver color scheme rattlebaits.

The 1980s? I thought senkos came out in the early '00s!
  21. My mental scale says either dink, chunk, hawg, or tode. I use my spring scale for confirmation.
  22. Frogs are fabulous. I think you should have a natural frog imitation (with white belly), and a black frog. Baitfish colors that mimic shad or perch are also good to have.
  23. Im saving up for a horde of rattlebaits; rattle traps, red eye shads, rippin raps, clackin raps, excaliburs, OH YEAH!!!
