  1. Im connecting 50lb power pro braid to 50lb big game mono. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp5XWarpu8g
  2. Walmart spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. One buck. Customize the blade(s) and skirt to the conditions at the lake and get bit by todes. The buzzbaits need to be tweaked a little but they are a perfect size for smallies.
  3. I can't afford to lose big pike because of my line. I will look at getting some 80lb fluoro.
  4. What kind of lure did you get that bite on? I feel like a swim jig they will inhale the whole bait and come in contact with the line. With A spinnerbait the wire acts as a barrier between the hook and the line.
  5. Will 16lb test sunline structure fc stand up to Northerns? With spinners I use wire leaders with barrel swivels but with swimjigs, grubs, and slug-gos I intend to just use the fc; no wire.
  6. I think this cold season is the niche that will make the rage blade shine. I am looking to give my rage blade another try; but during spring and summer my Zman baits downright outperformed the rage blade.
  7. Deep diving jerkbaits in deep spots of ponds is a pattern I like to fish, for bass and pickerel. I like my bomber but its a floater. If you are fishing the lure quickly a floater will stay deep. I bought a BPS brand deep diving jerk in clown, it looks great but I haven't used it.
  8. Ive heard it on tv that "If you can catch fish in Connecticut, you can catch fish anywhere". Of course that state does have the striper migration that passes by, but catching that gamefish is usually not as easy as one may think.
  9. You might do well in the spring with a LC flash minnow and pointer. In silver based patterns like misty shad.
  10. I have ordered once from siebert so I am familiar with the options, thats why I asked. Does This jig your having success with have eyes?
  11. Clear: vodka Stained: tea Murky: black tea Muddy: coffee with cream.
  12. I call those river minnows or dace. I have caught big ones close to a pound.
  13. Does that jig have eyes and or rattles?
  14. The reservoir aint frozen yet. I bank fished yesterday in the rain and got a follow-up from a big pickerel.

I like my Columbia water shoes. Have had them for two seasons and they are still holding up. They are good for walking, good grip, dry fast.
  16. I never got my tackle bag. I noticed in the latest issue there wasn't a lunker club page, thats one of my favorite segments.
  17. It looks sick. You probably don't ever target pickerel but it would be deadly for them; they are prolific cannibals.
  18. Does anyone have more input specifically on the Sworming Hornet lure?
  19. I actually like colored blades in clear water.
  20. Willow leaf blades give more flash, colorado blades give more vibration, and indiana blades are inbetween. The idea being that in murky or stained or in my case this year cloudy water the colorado blade will attract the fish more because it will appeal to the fishes senses other than sight.

Nothing imitates a scooting craw better than a tube.
  22. Im looking at getting some Sworming Hornet Fish heads.
  23. Go swimming and look for them. Find a rocky area and flip over rocks underwater.
  24. I think a scrounger will have the persistent vibration of a crankbait with the tantalizing attraction and triggering effects of your favorite plastic. A grub has a very subtle action, but in rough and stained water I think that a scrounger would enhance a grub.
  25. I was looking for some ledhead jigs on tw and saw these scroungers How are these scroungers? How is the hook-up percentage? Looks like something i could add to my kayak fishing arsenal. Like a chatterbait without all the moving parts. I would put a grub or houdini shad on it, but I suppose the rigging possibilities are endless. I like the heads with eyes and texture.
