  1. Epipen. I'm very allergic to bees.
  2. Like walking out your front door and seeing a plate of hotwings and a pitcher of beer on the porch. You're gonna zip right over to it, but you won't be able to tell it's plastic until you're up close.
  3. I heard Rampage was retiring from the UFC and that he's going to play B.A. Baracus in an upcoming A-Team movie. I can't vouch for the validity of either of those rumors though.
  4. Depending on what you're looking to get out of the package, it could be fine, but here are some personal opinions. I'm guessing that performance for the slimline desktop would most likely be roughly on par with the laptop. Both would be okay if all you want are machines for web browsing, office work, and light applications like that. 3D Games would probably be a nightmare, as both are pretty underpowered in comparison to a good gaming rig. I have no experience with netbooks, but from what I understand they are exclusively for web browsing, so it should work pretty well for that. One thing I don't like about Slimline desktop cases is that they are notoriously bad at dissipating heat, due to poor airflow. This is one reason that they can't handle intensive applications like gaming. It'd be like taking an ultralight rig tarpon fishing - anything's possible but it's not really the right gear for the job. I'd also have doubts about the lifespan of the desktop. If the processor constantly runs hot it won't last long. I think a good portion of what you're paying for in the combo is the Geek Squad service call to set up your wireless network. Final word - if you just want 3 machines for family web browsing and homework, it's probably a good deal.
  5. I think it'd be hilarious to watch Fedor destroy Lesnar. I enjoyed Lesnar's win over Frank Mir, right up until he opened his mouth for the post fight interview.
  6. It doesn't look like it was designed for use as a fishing scale to me. Even if it was sharp, piercing that hook through the fish wouldn't be very friendly either - which is why most of the fishing scales that I'd consider decent have a clamp of some sort, not a piercing hook. I'm sure better alternatives could be found. http://cgi.ebay.com/LIPPER-FISH-GRIPPER-GRIP-50-LB-SCALE-STAINLESS-LIP-NIP_W0QQitemZ140359116389QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20ae0e2665 If you don't want to shell out for a usable fishing scale, I'd say it's probably not that important for you to weigh the fish.
  7. Buoyancy could be also be a factor, not just resistance. A large floating trailer would suspend more than a small floating trailer.
  8. Serious topic, but I can't stop laughing at the mental images of surly second graders sharpening toothbrushes into shivs by scraping them on the playground pavement
  9. Can I get mine in junebug or watermelon candy to match the worms?
  10. Congrats!
  11. I like a self-centering spinning reel with a lever for the bail. Right now my spinning setup is a Spirex 2500 RG. Absolutely no complaints about the reel so far.
  12. I don't share my recipe, but here are some quick recommendations. Use fresh peppers. Poblano or cerrano peppers might be a good place to start. Use 1 or 2 peppers per pound of meat, then adjust for your taste the next time you make a batch. The heat comes from the seeds mostly. If this batch isn't hot enough, you can always spice it up, but once it's too hot, it's hard to back it off without ruining the batch, so spice it up slow. Don't trust prepackaged chili kits. Use fresh vegetables, good beans (if you like chili with beans), and good lean meat. Chili Powder is good, but I like to use plain Cumin and Ground Cayenne sometimes instead. Brown your meat and saute the vegetables separately, then combine them into the chili pot. Then, don't be afraid to let it simmer for HOURS. Simmering lets all the flavors blend so you don't get one bite that tastes like raw onion and another bite that tastes like hamburger. On chili days I typically start simmering around 10am so we can eat by 5.
  13. "Chili with meat" sort of makes meat sound like the side dish, doesn't it?
  14. They need to divert those funds to more programs that will celebrate mediocrity, like 3rd Grade graduation ceremonies. We cannot allow our children to suffer the agony of losing at ANYTHING. In fact, competitive sports should be banned altogether in favor of activities filled with more positive reinforcement, like "Show Up and Win a First Place Ribbon Day".
  15. Good thing I didn't suggest the key combo that forces the browser to close...
  16. I've been having similar problems with the latest version of Firefox, not on wikipedia though. I believe the problem is already in the known bug list for the developers to work on, but it does seem to be a problem with the browser itself.
  17. Hold down your CTRL key and hit F5. This forces the web browser to reload the page and refresh any cached data that it may have stored. This works for IE or FireFox
  18. Sodium's reaction in air is due mostly to the humidity
  19. I try not to get hung up on specific color combinations until a good day of getting skunked. Then it's off to the online stores or BPS to browse the millions of subtle variations that I don't yet have.
  20. Hey gang, long time listener first time caller. I've been trolling the boards here for a little while and finally decided to register and take part. I grew up fishing a small private lake around Union, MO, but sort of fell off the wagon for the past dozen years or so because of some life and career changes. I got the chance to put a line back in the water a few times again this past Summer, and well... the fever is back in full force. I live in one of the most dangerous places in Missouri - about 5 minutes from Bass Pro and 15 minutes from Cabela's. Anyway, I've been reading up on some articles and threads here while I was in the process of getting my gear back a respectable level, and I thought I would say thanks for the great resource.
