Humminbird 570
Howdy, I am the one who sold you the unit. I just came across this thread. I do believe you have the transducer installed too high, but you should still be getting some kind of bottom reading and you shouldn't be getting any vertical lines. It had been a while since I used that unit, and I tested it before I shipped it, but I wonder if the transducer is bad. Let me do some research and I may need to switch out the transducer for you. If you will have some patience I will make it right, which I know is a lot to ask - when you buy something it should work. I hate that it isn't working right for you.

Any Good Large Mounth Bass And Small Mouth Bass Lakes In Indiana
A little late, but I live in Terre Haute although fairly new to the area. Waveland is supposed to be one of the best lakes for bass in the state, it is small but everyone seems to have luck there. I have been there a couple of times, and did ok. Racoon can be ok, this is supposed to be the place for striped bass in IN - about the top ten stripers in the state have been caught here. Cataract is ok(very good crappie fishing). I have had some luck at Mill creek in IL, and West Boggs lake further south. That's about all the places I have been since I've lived here. I have heard Geist and brookville are pretty good, brookville is supposed to have smallies, but I've not been to either. They say that Patoka can be decent, not been there either. Most people around here will tell you the best fishing is in the small private pits around here. If you have a small john boat or something you really should go down to Greene-Sullivan sometime, there are about 150 reclaimed strip pits that have a little of everything in them.

Trophy Country
Hi guys, haven't been around here much lately. Anytime Trophy Country comes up I have to chime in. Ghoti convinced me to join him there one day and I tell you it was great. And I guess it was a slow day for there. I plan to get back there hopefully around the end of the month or maybe in September.

Indiana Bass Fishers
I live in Terre Haute, I haven't been on here in a while. I haven't got to fish much around here lately. probably not too bad since it has been so hot. I've been to Waveland once this year, Cataract several times, and Mill Creek (in IL) a few times. I want to try to make it down to the pits at Green-sullivan sometime.

This Ever Happened To You
As some of you know, I have been fishing the same little pond close to where I work about twice a week. There is a great amount of brush all over the bottom, and I have lost several lures over the last month. Yesterday I got all snagged up in some line from a lure I had previously lost. I got my jig untangled from the line, and I thought "I wonder if I can get whatever lure back that is on the end of this? I messed with it a while, then it started pulling back! I pulled it in hand over hand, and there was about a 13" bass on the end, and a $5 jig I had lost a couple of weeks ago. The bass didn't look like he had been hooked very long, maybe even bit it while I was messing with it, but the hook was run all the way through his cheek. I'm sure this is not the only time this has ever happened, but a first for me.

Shaving
For more comfort, and to get extra close - shave with the grain first, then re-lather and shave lightly against the grain. I've been doing this for about three years now, makes a world of difference. Remember that your whiskers on your neck might not grow the same direction as your face. I also shave after a hot shower. A good cream with a good brush is priceless to me. For the cheaper creams, can't beat barbasol.

Kill The Bass!
That's interesting, the Indiana DNR have been stocking Muskie in a lot of the lakes around here that are overrun with gizzard shad in lieu of killing all of the fish off because they supposedly seldom prey on LM bass, Crappie, and Blue Gill. Maybe that's only when there's an abundance of shad.

Ever Lasso A Bass
That is great. Not that anyone cares, but no real cowboys use the word lasso, they would say I "roped" that bass. lol. But, hey your not a cowboy and I've never roped a bass, so you can call it whatever you want.

Had A Good Time During My Lunch Hour
Thanks, just to clear this up, that is not the same fish in my avatar (much smaller fish), but that is the same pond and the same sweatshirt, lol. That pic was from early Feb.

Had A Good Time During My Lunch Hour
Caught this one on a little pond near where I work on a ring fry with a shaky head. I'm not sure exactly how big it is, but it is for sure the biggest "Northern Strain" bass I have caught. This little pond has given me three fish close to this big, and numerous others - many times I go and get skunked though.

Thoughts On This Boat
If you have looked around at all, craigslist, boat trader, etc. you'll know that is a pretty good price. Not familiar with that exact model, but a 2000 model in good shape, 19ft no issues for 8k - that will sell pretty easy. Assuming it is like they are telling you, of course.
