  1. What stores do I buy these M's at. Walmart, Academy, BassPro? Never seen them out in town.
  2. I can make a deep crank work shallow, but can't make a shallow runner work at 15 ft. Each one is just a tool in the tool box. They all have proper times and places.
  3. a bait advertised depth means jack until I test them. Vast% of the deep baits don't dive as deep as mentioned unless you downsize your line greatly. A couple of guys tested all lures on the market. They found 2 that dives as deep as advertised. They have charts out on dive depths.
  4. Your lower team wasn't so lower based on last years SEC teams. To prove that the SEC is built on defense, Texas laid 52 on an SEC team last year, and we played second and third team most of the 2nd half. Wheres that defense the SEC brags about from top to bottom. Didn't ARK beat LSU last year? 31-30. Love that defense in the SEC. Couldn't score 10 on Texas, but lays 31 on LSU. Note, we didn't start the play defense crap card, ya'll did. Or the best offense is played in the SEC a few years ago. Find the slogan that ya'll like, cause the ball won't last forever, the clock will strike Midnight again some day, and then, your back to being the ugly step sister. ;D ;D Don't say Ark had down year, cause ya'll spewing that crap that the SEC plays defense. Well, Arkansas lost offensive players the year before, not defensive, and we spanked a SEC opponent that is known for DEFENSE. Couple of years ago, it was SEC was a offensive Juggernaut, well they had to change to something new, cause the BIGXII showed em how to score. And Alabama showed us some great defense as well against Utah. 31 points of defense. LOL 8-)
  5. Texas had 3 titles before the BCS, as for the record, The Big XII had 16 titles compared to the 12 the SEC had before ya'll invented the BCS nightmare. So ya'll got 5 titles in recent times, want a cookie or something? 8-)
  6. I defer this to the KING OF MOOK's. He'll be along shortly. 8-)
  7. This is about as simple as it gets when a bait comes out of the box. The factors not mentioned in getting a bait to max depth straight out of the box. Line diameter(size) casting distance Rod position during retrieve All important factors on getting a baits to max running depth.
  8. Lets look at commercially available baits on the market. Not modified baits that pros or their reps do for them. Whats available to us is what should be discussed. Balsa wasn't used for max depth, Balsa deflects better off of objects, wood to be exact. What baits are advertised that have the ball bearing inside that are used for depth? If its a feature, it'll be marketed as such. Lead bills are not the same as weight inside the bait is it?
  9. Ivy league colleges wouldn't qualify as per the books, not us, as big boy colleges. But you knew that already, just didn't want to show that fact. lol So based on those who play in this era. Big XII is on top with the most national titles. Yes, you are correct. Once the SEC commish invented the BCS, ya'll have done well for your selves. Tennessee Volunteers, known for Womens Basketball. Other than that, ya'll couldn't carry Texas' jock straps based on the UNVERSITY as a whole ;D ;D. LOL Hookem, 8-)
  10. What baits sold on the market advertise this weight as to increase depth? That weight is counter balance, it helps load the bait during the casting for distance, not depth. I'm sure if you add enough weight to anything it will sink, and thats max depth for sure.
  11. The BCS is the product of its Ole commish of the SEC. Since the ***, SEC has gotten lots of love in the BCS polls. But....... BigXII has 18 titles, OU7, NU5, UT4, CU1, aTm1 Sec 17 Ala.7, LSU3, UF3, TU2, UG1, UA1 8-)
  12. Eating spiny things is how fish survive. It isn't an issue at all. If it was, they wouldn't survive at all. One of the famous Fork fish at Athens was observed eating 15, 6-8 inch catfish in one setting. She weighed over 19 pounds at the time. Bass don't care what kinda fins its prey has. If it can fit its prey into its mouth, its possible dinner.
  13. This thread is permanent in the Everything section. Top of the Page, maybe they should marry the two in the same section.
  14. Never heard locals give their winning patterns away unless its small club tournament. lol Don't believe everything you hear at weigh-ins either. As for the "text" book answer of slow fall rate. One must be assuming all fished weightless. And none of those facts were shared. The majority of all baits fished weightless have a "Slower Fall Rate" lol, true!!!
  15. Moved to the wrong section. Thats a bunch of carp moving it to this section. lol Belongs with the state it came from.
  16. FLW has a family of sponsors or an umbrella of sponsors. Those 10 Rangers are wrapped by FLW sponsors. Its predetermined before hand, the the Qualifing leader will fish from the Folgers boat. 2nd will fish the Lowrance boat and so on. don't remember the exact order this year. EAch angler will have a Jersey made that correspondes to the boat and FLW sponsors. Same for day 4, order of place at the end of day 3 determines the boat you are in for the last day. Folgers, Castrol, Lowrance, Chevy, National Guard, Berkley, Tums, Walmart, Keebler, all had wraps for the last 2 days. ????help whats the other? Did you know that the winner doesn't not get 1 mill up front even if qualified. That contingency money gets paid out 50K a year for ten years.
  17. The "in crowd" puts fish in the boat consistently. 100's of local tackle and baits being made in Texas right now, from jigs, spinnerbaits, cranks, worms, slabs, spoons, and custom rods. They want guys who are always in the hunt, are local known names because of the competive nature, are on the local state fishing forum being active. Thats about the best it gets when you think about local pro-staff.
  18. Just watch and you'll see why. Starting with Alabama. Clemson said the same thing last year.... VaTech is no Clemson either. Last year, Clemson was ranked in the preseason top 10, why? it sure wasn't cause they ended the season ranked in the top 10 the year before. Bama didn't deserve to vault up the pole 13 spots either, but they did. Go VaTech!!!! 8-)
  19. Most of what I like from them is from early in their career. A few songs from late in their careers. They certainly maintained a clean cut image, stayed in the CMT news with good music and not the tabloids. They'll go into the country HOF someday as a duo
  20. I would rather see colleges not get ranked until after the 5th week of games. No rankings would mean teams would actually be getting ranked based on the body of work done thus far. Instead of opinions based on opinions. Teams that play better than average teams should get ranked ahead of those that play weak non conf. foes. I guess to put it simply, earn that ranking.
  21. I'll settle for #1 in week 15, the last poll the BCS uses before the BCS pukes out its bs.
  22. My GF raises both rod locker lids, port and stbd, the center tackle storage lid. She has nice large l gallon bucket. She asks me to position the boat with the trolling motor to protect her the best. Trust me, she's well hidden with console and lids up. Thats what they make large plastic bottles for. Anyone ever have a catheter? : I'll take a poke in the eye first
  23. Read that they are done. Great duo. Sure did have some songs the ladies like to dance to. The statement is on their website.
