He also mentioned he caught a nice 20 inch striper there as well. I found areas to hold good striper populations to be tougher bassin areas. Bass aren't the top of the predator list on lakes with large striper populations. I also think gar and bass share the same waters all the time, but striper is another factor that changes the way you have to approach some bodies of water.

WRB, Here again, I see no media reports coming out of Japan by Japanese officials that mention off limits/restricted areas. All this is generated in one article out of SAN DIEGO. San Diego is the one tha mentions possible restricted area and 3 possible baits. Any other US sources pushing these stories? Not that I can find. Any Japanese media pushing these stories? We save the fast foods for road trips. Since this is fast food thread, then Cici's is about it locally. Pizza!!!!! We no longer have Pizza Hut, murder shut that one down, dominoes delivers, Ceasars is pick up, so Cici's is our only dine in choice. I can fry a burger cheaper and better, make better mexican food and do, a fry daddy whips out better steak frys than most places. I feel guilty now days spending 10 bucks on junk food, when 10 dollars at the store goes further.

When I fish Big Bass Splashes BBS, the ones that pay 100,000 for first place, or just Trophy hunting, I'm really looking for one BIG BITE at a time. Rarely will I run and gun. I will hole set a piece of water all day looking for that one bite. Obviously I have confidence in that part of the water based on past results. Catt showed me a few spots on TBend for a BBS. I liked the one that set on a flat, 13 feet of water, hydrilla next to the river channel bend that dropped to 60 feet. Out of the 3-4 spots we fished, the one close to the bend, grass and depth is the one I set on for 3 days straight. No DD, but on day 3, I did take home a check for 900 for taking 2nd place in the two o'clock weigh-in. Just missed 1500 for the bonus hour If hog hunting, I'll drift into my areas using the wind 50 yards out. NO noise, I tie up, or anchor, no electronics.

What??? This thread is becomming a barage of false blasphamy. 1) Main ingredient in ethanol is not water. I run the lab of an ethanol plant and there are guidlines as to what buyers will buy (or what you can sell)... and I can tell you that more times than not its actually dryer then most gas. That dosnt mean it won't pick any up somewhere else, but not when its sold, its essentially as close to 200 proof as you can get it. The problem with ethanol isnt as much the moisture as it is its ability to corrode fititngs and piping that were not designed for it (most boats). 2) 4 strokes are a million times more reliable than a two stroke and have less maintenance. How many times more do you have to change the plugs per year on a heavily used two stroke than a four? Several. Unless you have the worst luck ever, you shouldn't hardly ever even have to maintenance your four stroke other than an oil change. Which Id rather buy oil once / year than everytime I fill my gass tank up. And get fuel injected, not carb. 3) Theres nothing worse than sitting there priminng your bulb trying to get a two strok piece of junk to start on a cool morning.... believe me, Ive had many of two stroke Mercs that are a pain in the rear to start. A 4 stroke will fire as soon as you turn the key (at least my Yamaha does). 4) 4 strokes are better gas mileage. And while they meet the same criteria set by the EPA, a four stroke still burns cleaner, period. That just makes sense. 5) True that performance is sacrificed on a 4 stroke. Its mostly due to weight, heavier engine = slower boat. They usually cost a little more as well (wonder why, O ya, they're better). On my 18 ft fiberglass boat... the differnence between a 90 two stroke and 90 four stroke was about 100 lbs and 4 mph. I got the 4 stroke and never looked back, best decision I made for my boat. EPA standards are driving outboard companies to build 4strokes, ie 4 strokes will meet new standards that are popping up in alot of states that are twice as strict as the old laws. Thanks, there was some bad opinions being share that were way off base and not even close.

You better check the JETS out alittle, they had great Running game with Jones, a good defense as well. Not much difference in the situations, other than Bret plays in a dome instead of outdoors. Mid season, the analyst had the Jets as the team to beat in the AFC last year. How did that work out? Jets missed the playoffs. Preseason, Minnesota was contending for div title, now, with Bret signed, the experts say they are contender for Super Bowl. I'm starting to view this a Brets way to punish the Packers for pushing him out the door.

Like mentioned, if its not tidal, then tides don't come into play in our neck of the woods so far inland. If I was trying to hit the spawn, I'd try to plan on the full and new moon periods. But always remember, lunar charts are written years in advance, and they can't predict weather and if the clouds will have the moon covered all night. Other than trying to plan hitting peak spawn periods, I go fish when I can.

I have seen enough option football to know you can't defend the option when its exicuted and read correctly. You may slow it down some, but thats about it. Plenty of NCCA titles won based on some form of the option. What do you call the Wildcat formation? Wasn't it Vince Young and the Longhorns who used an option style offense to win the 2005 National title? So it don't look like the wishbone. It works none the less. Pat White seemed to run that style of offense with authority as well.
