Is it possible?
I love cold milk, it don't quench the thirst, but it goes down fast, too fast. Milk and cookies are a nightly staple, and my milk goes into the freezer before that time comes, the colder the better.

Re: Road Warrior
Then you could delete over half the threads on the forum, they are redundant, and then you have no forum. Your opinion, "the thread is stupid", yet you have an opinion on the "stupid subject". Thats funny. ;D

Re: Road Warrior
Save me the trouble of having to read all those pages. What was RW's opinion on those Rods. I didn't see any of his comments on them, only time to put this one to bed. Even though, not all of us posted our comments on that thread, I'd say that no new info was being introduced, feelings and disagreements were headed off before they hurt someones feelings.

What is "big"
I think the lake defines what a trophy is by its numbers. lake Travis in TX has a 14+ lake record, but yields very few DD's throughout the year. An 8lber there is a true hawg for that lake. Where as on lake Fork, an 8lber is an average slot fish. Depends on region and the lake.

I thought this was a trash talking thread. 1inStripes, you didn't have to delete your post. Nothing personal there. I appreciate the thought, but you didn't have to. Hookem Horns!!!!!

whe doesn't the elite series allow the use of a net?
Nice of everyone to worry about bass after the fact of what they go through before they ever reach the boat. Missed hooksets that are ripped out of their mouths, gills getting torn, we've all had them, setting the hook on bass that swallowed the c rig. Not too mention when a bass is behind a log and gets drug across it and skinned up or pulled out of the middle of a brush pile. But lets draw the line on the bouncing them in the boat and off the carpet. LOL I like the no net rule. Whats so special about having a personal net man in the boat? Co anglers are the ones who net the fish. lol IF the well being of the fish is really a concern, people wouldn't fish.

Ready for college football? Let the trash fly!
Won't happen unless theres a major re-alignment. Baylor has too much money, and they offer more in other sports. Baylor will always be Baylor in football, they are stuck in the middle of some of the most fierce recruiting in the state. Texas and OU, aTm, Tech,, not much for Baylor and TCU to recruit from on most years. Good talent, but not enough blue chippers imo. Wareagle, How did Texas do? Hookem 8-)

Ready for college football? Let the trash fly!
Brent, The Espn article to start this thread had TT and aTm as one of the top 10 rivalaries. lol lol, aTm has their hands full with Baylor. Baylor will not be the Baylor of old, they still may not win many games, but they will make it interesting this year.

Ready for college football? Let the trash fly!
VT was still searching for a starting QB last year to start the season. They have one now, and Alabama will be trying to erase that embarassing loss to Utah last year. Good early season game. Biggest thing Bama has going this year, they don't have Florida and Georgia on the schedule. How about the coach known as "Big Game Bob" , how many more chances will OU get to add to their already famous name of CHOKELAHOMA. Will the Heisman finally have its second two time winner? Tebow or Bradford, or will a new name arrive on the scene to throw his name in the hat for the hunt for the Heisman? You know Texas aTm has slipped since the days of the Wrecking Crew defenses of Sloccum when they list Tech as rivalry game. lol aTm and UT has always been blood match, and now, they list Tech and aTm. lol, Did the USC and ND game make ESPN's top rivalry? The best season thus far for Charlie Wiess was from the old coaches recruits, Weiss was given more time than TY was given, and TY did a better job based on the short amount of time he was given. Only way to answer awaiting questions is to tee the ball up and play some college football. Hookem Horns

Washers anyone ?
The legal washers are nothing more than large, thick, construction washers. Cups were about 4 inches deep. A good pit consisted of packed dirt that allowed you to slide a washer from 3 feet out from the hole. People have to remember, in the 60's and so, there were no game boys, video games, cable TV. We played outdoors willingly. Heck, you almost gotta bribe kids to go outside any more. I can remember seeing Crouquet, horse shoes, dominoes, tether ball at the local park as a kid. I'm playing shoes tomorrow morning at 8am with an oldtimer getting up in years. Don is sanctioned to throw from 30' due to his age, but he still throws regulation. Pretty salty for his age. He throws an old style one flip. Don pretty much realizes that when the warm weather arrives, he's lost me for a weekend tournament partner in shoes. Either or, washers or shoes, I'm game anytime.

Washers anyone ?
Steel cups and dirt, been playing real washers since the late 60's. Play horseshoes once a week. Around here, you better bring your "A" game on either, washers or shoes.

Celebrity role models. I just do not get it.
Sorry, in order for kids to know right from wrong, that starts in the home with the parent(s). If you've done your job, then your kids will know who to look up to for positive guidance.

NEW world record bass caught lake biawa, japan!!!
Not true, one of the most common types of scales in the post offices back then came from Toledo Scale Co. The model mentioned was known as the "postal model" or 789, Patent as early as 1912. The Toledo Scale Company was making these scales as early as 1912, this scale was called the "lightweight" scale, it could handle packages up to 40 lbs. This model was found to still be in use in 1973 in one US post office. Toledo Scale was established in 1900, and today, is know as Mettler Toledo. Still going strong, we use a few of their scales at various hospitals. A new born baby that is sick, is monitored closely for weight gain and weight loss, a baby's dosage will be determined by its weight, so accuracy is very critical in my job.

Big Threat
Conflict with North Korea needs to be avoided. This will not even be close to a Gulf war. Korea has a Navy, similar to our Coast Guard with limited range, and Subs. They have AirForce, and ground forces that are well equiped. US hasn't faced anyone in years who will offer all phases of war. Why are we so worried about North Korea? We think if they develope Nuc's, they would sell them to a terrorist cell, someone most likely to use one on the USA. In my opinion, Koreans would not be doing anything that the USA hasn't done, we have supplied many a groups and countries over the years to fight battles. During the cold war, we supplied weapons made from other countries to Afghanistan to fight the USSR during the cold war period. Israeli and Palstine, they would have whipped Israeli's from the strip with out US support all these years. In the 70's, don't forget Ollie North. enough said, lots of examples of US support to other countries under the table. US has never kept is nose out of others business. Not many can beat us with conventional methods, thus the terrorist ways. When the bully comes calling, the little guy gets an equalizer, well, US would beat most countries in a coventional war hands down. Korea is a dangerous threat that don't need to be bullied.
