Bama Rules while Georgia drools
I think Alabama finally beat someone to be ranked now. Bama beat an preseason over ranked #9 Clemson who is now 2-2, Western Kentucky, Tulane, and now the Dawgs. Saban would have gotten there eventually, but who did he beat to put him in at #8 to begin with? #4 Florida lost, the best loss of the day. Hookem

I guess I'll do it....How 'bout them Cowboys!!
Being hated is part of the success over the years. Kinda like the kid who got candy, and all the other neighborhood kids are jealous. I didn't think they would go undefeated, and a good lose is what the doctor ordered. Too many analysts saying they are the best and theres way too much football to be played. NFC East is the most competitive divsion out there as it stands right now. How about those 5 SuperBowl Trophines!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Bama Rules while Georgia drools
I have great respect for story book programs. Saban will leave Bama with a Statue in place. Glad to see their program getting back to tradition. Any other year, I'd say Bama has alot of cream puffs left with the exception of LSU. But your cream puffs have played tough ball this year. Congrats on that win last night.

The Consitution is Illegal (True Story)
Hookem May be it wasn't about the material that was posted at all, maybe it was the fact, that alot of schools require prior approval for materials that are to be posted to have prior approval first. Does sound like the administration displays poor management. School is not responsible for what a kids doing on the street at night. What happens on school property is different.

USC Tojan Fans Unite!!!
USC just don't get up for the weaker teams. Last 4 losses came against lesser Pac 10 teams. USC is 18-1 against top 10 teams. Wonder how far they drop? I was gonna say you can bet it won't be 3 SEC teams in the top 3, but TCU has beat OU 2 out of the last 3 meetings, So did Oregon St with USC. Make that 3 out of 4 times now. I'll just wait and see on OU and TCU. This year could see lots of upsets.

Feathered Trebels - Yes Or No?
Never thrown a diving crank with feathered treble. Does this change the action of the bait at all. Those cranks looked very appealing. Gonna give them a shot with falling around the corner.

USC Tojan Fans Unite!!!
Don't know the records of the Pac 10 foes, but since 2002 and that as far as the schedules show on SEC. LSU beat Arizona in 03 59-13 o4 beat OSU 22-21 05 beat ASU 35-31 06 beat Arizona 45-3 Whats your point again. At least Ark and Auburn played USC. By the way, during the years that USC played Ark and Auburn, USC had a 112 point differential in common opponents with LSU. Do the math, USC beat the same teams LSU did by difference of 112 in the same years. We may not have played your best, but LSU didn't beat those team like USC did. ;D

USC Tojan Fans Unite!!!
Why don't you share the records of LSU Pac 10 foes? And who they played or rather who they didn't. And the AP goes in the books. Its not crystal, but goes down in the books as a Championship. Don't really care who beat USC, a loss is a loss, and that all it shows in the win loss column. At least USC don't play JV teams like Appy State. ;D

when is it considered fall
Maybe for La. Not for Texas.

USC Tojan Fans Unite!!!
Two national titles in this decade. AP same year LSU won the BCS. You can say what you think. But until its played on the field. Its just words. All teams face injury. Besides, my comment was about "beat an SEC team and you have bragging rights". Well USC has 4 straight times.

when is it considered fall
When HS football season gets started in Texas. Better known as "Friday Night Lights".

Richland Chambers?
hey fishfordollars, We managed to move up on Sunday for nice check. We finished 6th. Only had 8 keepers for 28.01. Couple of younger guys managed to boat 28 lb sack with War Eagle spinnerbaits in the grass down by 309 to win it on the last day, 36 and change walked with BassCat w/200 Merc. Proud of L Train and myself. We came out of a divison that has some older sticks that are always in the mix at the top. Those guys have 30-60 years of experience on those lakes, I call them jackpotters. lol We fished consitently all year to be in the top ten. Would love to see L Train move on up and fish co angler next year or boater to work his way up. I had fun this year chasing points. Missed Fork all year though. Keep an ear open for what going on at Rayburn. We have another championship there in late Oct. Looking forward fishing with you some time. Hookem Matt

What are some cheep, yet effective swim baits?
In the central section, Tom Redington, a Lake Fork guide posted a how to rig post on Live Magic Shads. maybe a few pages back. Great read.

What are some cheep, yet effective swim baits?
I have said that due to Texas waters being stained, you can get away with cheap Storm Swim baits. I can catch stripers and Hybrids on them and they don't tear up as bad as some like to say. If I was fishing clear waters, then cheap is not the way to go. But for the majority of the waters in Texas, not a bad way to go. You can't beat 3.50 for 3-4 in a bag.

Zoom ole monster or berkley 10 inch powerworm?
They are all tools of the trade in the tacklebox. There are times that the fat Power worms don't get bit like the thinner longer ones do. I use alot of big worms, each has a special place for me in my arsenal. Also, Plum Zoom does not look like Plum power worm, colors are different. Just like the Culprit punkinseed doesnt look like a power worm punkinseed. Culrpit is very yellow and power worm punkin seed is darker.

crankbait - wide wobble vs. tight wobble
Its a cold versus warm conditions on our lakes in Texas. Winter is when the water columns are dense. Doesn't allow for mixing of particles as easily. Thus in winter, the water is usually the cleariest of any season. In winter, bass have the opportunity to feed more by sight.

USC Tojan Fans Unite!!!
Well, since you brought it up. Since 2002, heres the match ups between Pac 10 and Sec top teams. Alabama hasn't played. Arkansas 05 USC 70-17 06 USC 50-14 Auburn 02 USC 24-17 03 USC 23-0 06 beat Wash St. 40-14 Florida hasn't played Georgia hasn't played LSU 03 beat Arizona 59-13 04 beat Oregon St. 22-21 05 beat Arizona St 45-3 Tenn 06 beat Cal 35-18 07 Cal 45-31 08 UCLA beats Tenn. In 2003, USC won the AP vote. LSU BCS champ. USC has earned their bragging rights.

Who is your favorite all time quarterback?
Roger Staubach is my all time favorite. Go Navy!! Big fan of Fran Tarkenton, was great to watch scramble. John Elway could scramble with the best. Joe Montana, enough said!!!

Eagles vs. Cowboys
How about them Cowboys. Good game, fun to watch. Some great games this next weekend as well. Dallas at Green Bay. Philly and Pittsburg, not sure where they are playing. Some great games to see next week as well.

USC VS OSU
OR we find out that VT and WVU aren't that strong at all and ECU gets beat by one of their own cellar dwellars later down the road.

The Colts.....
Don't worry about Manning, no snaps in the preseason at all. Clark is out and his timing is off. Saturday, his center is out as well. And the backup TE dropped a lot of balls in his hands. Vikes have or suposed to have great run defense. Manning will be on cue when the playoffs comes around unless other injuries plague them. AS for the Vikes, Ya'll took AP instead of drafting a QB, Not like there was a ton of good QB's lookiing for a job on the free agent market either. New England was looking at Simms, so what that tell you as for available QB's around the league?

Packers Fans Unite!!!
I think it just goes to show that QB's that get some bench time before being thrown to the Lions helps. Big games coming up that should shed some light on just how good they are. Philly at Dallas, Dallas at GB next week, and Philly and Pittsburgh next week as well. Got to say GB is in Dallas shoes right now. We have Romo with all the tools and supporting cast, except Romo don't have much game time experience, or playoff experience. Rodgers has the tools, the supporting cast, just lacking in big game experience. I can see the Packers in the next couple of years being a contender to win it all. You guys are young and talented, and scary.

Chargers got hosed
I personally thought Shanahan's decision to go for it was bonehead move. At first sight!!!! But after seeing that Denver only had a hand full of plays in the second half, and was leading 31-17, then seeing SD score 3 times to take the lead. I felt he thought his team was hitting on all cyclinders at the right time. Denver didn't do any thing but have 2 drives 3 and out and one more drive of 7 plays for 13 yards in the second half. Until their last drive. Instead of chancing the coin flip and OT, he "struck while the iron was hot". His offense the second half sputtered, and his defense stopped no one as well in that half. Sportsmanship rarely plays fair in football. Have you ever seen a coach give a victory back for bad Pass Interference call that gave them the game? I haven't. I doubt sportsmanship was a thought at that time.
