Roy Willaims in Big D
Roy was 1st round pick, Dallas would have used a first round to get him as well. Tenn must now compensate Dallas for Pacman trade, so Dallas is only loosing a third round pick when all said and done. I couldn't be happier. Roy is home town guy who I've watched all these years.

Browns vs. Giants
NFC east just got more interesting. I had Derek Anderson in 2 leagues, dropped him fast. Turned out to be great game, specially if your a Dallas fan. Giants could have had 2 game lead in the division.

Sam Rayburn
Got any tips for Sam? I'll be camping at Cassell-Boykin Park and launching there next week. Was wondering about any nav hazards that might have shown up since the lake is down 7 ft.

Texas vs. Missouri
OSU over the past years have put together some great talent. Before Les Miles flew the coop, OSU managed to beat Zero U twice out of their last three meetings. Had Texas down by an average of 27 points the last 3 years ending up losing in all 3. OSU is that good, just lacking the big game experience. I watched Chase Daniels grow up under the Friday Night Lights. As long as he's playing, Mizzou has a great chance. Chase is a born winner. Great to have this game in Texas this season after beating Zero U. Texas will need the stars to align if they want to play for a national championship. Still too many teams that can air the ball out on Texas" young secondary. Hookem, Gonna be a great game!!

Questions for RW
The only time I ever employed a double hookset was many moons ago when using jigs with pork trailors during winter and braid wasn't invented for fishing yet. Pork is known for fouling the hook and double hooksets was common trying to drive that hook home. With the invention of braid and new pliable plastics for trailors now days, I rarely use pork anymore.

Bowden fired!
I said before Clemson played Bama they were rated to high for having 4 new offensive Linemen starting. Even with two stud backs. I guess 3-3 and the last loss to Wake Forest was the straw that broke the camels back. Don't really have a reaction to the firing, its not like they are or have been power house in the past to save his job. Hookem

Red River Rivalry
Anything is possible. Big XII is loaded with solid teams. OSU, KU, Mizzou, Tech, OU, and Texas are capable of beating each other up. OU is more apt to run the tables if anyone does. Hookem Horns

Red River Rivalry
How much more can OU rise? They're already #1. I worry about UT's young secondary and the lack of a game breaking back. I thought Texas' best game last year was the OU game. Hookem Horns

Phil Hellmuth...
I'm afraid that I'd be chicken choking Philly. Say what you want for his ability to play Poker, 11 Bracelets speak for themselves and the fact that he has no alarm to get up to in the mornings, in short, he don't ever need to play poker again. He's set for life. Can't stand him as a person the way he calls the lesser unknown players "idiots" all the time.

Gender differences in fall bass patterns?
Some of the shad in the back of the creeks I have seen in recent weeks are small, very tiny, and the bass ratio to keepers vs. juvies has been mainly on the juvie side. We have stayed on larger baitfish that haven't hit the back of the creeks yet to find the better bass consistently. I'm mean when you see six inch gizzrd shad flying out of the water, its no brainer. Find bigger bait and your likely to find better bass.

Hell Just Froze Over
Actually, Auburn don't beat Tenn without the fumble in the redzone for a TD. Tenn isn't all that thus far. Alabama don't beat Kentucky without the fumble in the redzone for a TD as well. Auburn was over rated. Go Vandy. Would love to see Vandy keep winning.

FLW + Coangler netting = LAME
I am for an angler landing his own fish. Whether he uses a net or his hands, or flips it, I'd rather see each individual angler handle his own fish. If I'm in a tournament with a partner who wants the net used. I'll use it. Other than that, I lip all my bass, cranks and all. Never known any other way. Me against the fish, one on one.

I guess I'll do it....How 'bout them Cowboys!!
Our fans want to know why Barber only got 8 touches and we abandoned the run totally. Why Felix Jones wasn't used as well. Why our run defense didn't stop them. Roy Williams was most talked about defensive player from fans blog last year. He's not there now, and they are still getting burned. Roy was leading tackler last year, wonder if that has anything to do with those late runs by Portis, cause this secondary sure isn't supporting the run. And the #1 comment on ESPN sports radio and other morning radio in the DFW area shows want to know how Jason Garret came up with that game plan. I saw TO's whole interview. I have seen snips played, spin it as ya'll want, TO for 3 years hasn't been a cancer.

Bama Rules while Georgia drools
Don't get mad at the Big XII for not losing. I mean to start the season, SEC had the prime spots sewn up. its not USC fault that Georgia didn't open up against a better team to hold on to #1. Come on, Tenn #18 is 1-3, South Carolina didn't earn their ranking either. After all, losing 6-7 of your last 7 games ranks you how? Same was done last season as well, its based on Spurrier, and Spurrier alone, not cause they lost the last 5 games of the 2007 year. Who's fault is it that Florida lost at home? To lowered SEC foe? BAMA beat a preseason ranked #9 Clemson who is now 2-2, so who did Bama beat to be a top 10 in the first place? Western Kentucky, Tulane, Clemson? Bama should just be cracking the polls truth be told. Don't go knocking the Big XII for who they played thus far, you don't see Div IIa colleges on our schedules like national champs LSU and Florida lol. So, yep, Alabama's win was most impressive over top 5 team. Georgia has yet to prove they are top 5 team. And bama proved they earned their spot in the polls. Finally!!! Auburn has done nothing but move down as well. They weren't top 10 to begin with, but thats showing on its own as well. If 1-3 Tenn hadn't fumbled in their endzone and gave them a freebie, they would have lost as well. I'm impressed thus far.

Jets and Cardinals
Brett has thrown for almost 1000 yards in 4 games with no preason so to speak of. He's got a passer rating of 110.8, 12 TDs 4 ints. Unless he gets hurt, I see no reason he won't extend his record to 17 years straight with 3000 yards plus.

I guess I'll do it....How 'bout them Cowboys!!
That was a great game between the Texans and Jags. Sorry they lost, but they are playing better ball now, and on the road, they gave the Jags all they wanted and then some.
-
Jets and Cardinals
Brett has had 16 straight years of 3000 yards. I see no reason with Coles and Cotchery, that it will change anytime soon. Way to go Brett.

Philly vs Bears.
Orton isn't so bad, the bears haven't really had any recievers or offense. Orton when given time can throw the ball. And beating a NFC east foe, priceless. Da Bears.
