Had to be the stockings she started getting early 2000. I think I read where she's had 4-5 stockings in the 2000's. We may not produce the 20 lbers, but we have some great fishing holes around the state. Great toad and new lake record. Congrats to the angler.

To has 34 TD's in 3 seasons. Yep, his stats went down some last year. He had Brad Johnson and another backup who where stellar, add in the fact that Romo was out, yep, he had an off year that most Receivers would love to have had. You guys crack me up. ESPN drove this bus off the cliff before it was an issue. Took 3 years of them reporting the same garbage for 3 years to come true. As for Romo, he was given the keys to the car. so was a lot of others in 10 years or so. Peyton and Eli both had more turnovers than Romo does in the same amount of time, and they both now have Rings. Romo and Roy Williams have been working together 3 times a week thus far this offseason. Thats Lazy for ya! And to blame TO or Romo for all the penalties, the special teams that weren't so special. Cowboys defense was off and on. But its easier to blame TO for the 9-7 season.

To comment on the payouts, At one time, BASS elites had 11 events and 3 majors compared to the 6 events total for the FLW. Do the math. 6 events to 11 events, almost twice as many tournaments, so even though the payouts where less, they provided more opportunities on the BASS circuits. Add the extra 5 regular season events and you'll see payouts aren't as you suggest.

I am professional when it counts, I could understand if you were seeking sponsors on a fishing forum that a potential sponsor might read, you want to appear like you are well rounded and polished in all areas for appearance purposes. But the majority of us arent, we are just interacting with a with a variety of ages that are made up of different educational back grounds.

I think they are called Dogwoods. When they start to bloom, the spawn is on. Been that way for ever in that part of the woods. Go into Veach Basin, toss weightless senkos on the edges, if water is clear, try to make casts longer to stay stealthy. If you got some chop on the water, put some faith in the spinnerbait, its a limit gitter this time of the year as well. White, white chartrues, gold blades seem to always do well on Sam. Levels have been down this year. That takes the flooded buck brush out of the equation in search of spawners. That leaves inside grass as next primary area. Also find the warmest water in that creek, you should find the shad, if you find the shad, the bass won't be far. Big girls have moved up due to that great stretch of warm weather, they are feeding hard.

Walmart in the DFW areas and surround parts of Texas all report clearance sales going on Bomber cranks. I have always loved the Fat free Shads, guppy's and fingerlings in the suspending models. Got another 50 bucks worth at two stores yesterday. Got some Gammie hooks half price. Good deals on other baits as well. Lavendar shad has been working lately, Tenn shad is my summer go to color, hard to find, they went to Root beer a few years back. And the citrus shad is working right now as well.

Idon't mind the post office working 5 days a week. Most americans only work M-f. Besides, the computer has made paying bills on line easy, which has eleminated the need for as many stamps.

Maybe the economy and gas prices had something to do with it? I haven't liked the Cup format. Like others, I didn't care for how a lot of races ended. Advantages, for years DEI pretty much owned the secrets to restrictor plates races. Just like others have master the COT setups. But it has become somewhat boring and captures less of my TV time has it did. Still like certain venues as must watch.

Agree with RW all the way. A dynasty or contender year after year is held together by stable QB play. Gotta protect the product, and a good product means having good QB play. There are too many angles that make it appear as it was illegal hit. Fans just don't want to see game ending drives aided by bogus calls in favor of the QB. Don't see why there isn't a Umpire in a booth to over call that penalty with the same views we see in that short amount of time to see it was bad call, a Ump in the booth could have buzzed the on field ref to pick up the flag.

fatman, That spot was designed to promote collegiate anglers into the pro ranks of the FLW. It accomplishes what it was designed for. Growth of the sport with young anglers coming from college. As does the BWS, it for the weekend angler. Thousands of guys fish for a spot, but at a fraction of the cost of an Elite angler who only fishes against 107 other guys. The Elite Pro has better odds making the classic, but at higher costs than does the BWS guy. Bass Dude, Theres alot more thought process than to just say, she didn't earn that spot. Think about this. The first woman ever at the classic will take away alot of exposure that alot of the other guys earned by getting there. Exposure that their sponsors earned as well. With the economy the way it is, every minute spent doing interviews and such may mean an increase or decrease in sponsor dollars for that individual. Exposure sells. Kim Bain will have the same media effect that Danika Patrick had. Dankia brought media attention to a sport that received very little exposure. Her sponsors will love all the exposure, she'll probablely profit very nicely no matter where she places. Kim is in a win win situation. She'll get paid no matter how many fish she weighs in. Is that the same situation the guys are in?

Who is talking about men? Did Kim earn her points fishing against men? Who said anything about the Opens and BWS not earning their spots? How many BWS competed? for how many spots? After wading through thousands, I'd say they earned their spot as given by the rules they play by and beating their peers. Same for the opens and Federation, those spots have been designated for spots at the classic, won by fishing against their peers. I'm a big fan of ladies in bassin, and Kim is a super person. Would love for her to do well. Its like Brett Farve being voted to the Pro Bowl but not earing it amoung his peers by the numbers. So another Pro gets left off the roster due to Brett getting a token spot. Kim did not earn that spot amoung her Peers. Its not opinion, its a fact. So to summarize this for ya. So many spots are earned through the Opens, Federations, and BWS. Classic and AOYs have 5 year grandfathered invitation, that leaves the Elite spots to fill the field. So yes, Elite guy is the one missing the cut if they are giving away a new spot that wasn't earned on the same terms as the other fishermen hoping to make the classic. Don't the women have their own Classic? "they didn't earn" where did you get that?

I saw that epsisode a few weeks ago. He threw 10 in plastics cause the locals who pound the lake and touring pros all downsized. So he went to the opposite end of the spectrum with bigger plastics. Showed them something there not used to seeing.

If you made the classic and your worried about being beat by one girl, you've already lost before you started. I don't mind losing to a woman. But......... I would like them to earn their spots like everyone else did. Guys on the Elites spent alot of money trying to accomplish that goal. If there is one spot open for the classic, i'd give it to the person who invested the most, yet earned that spot in points.

If I was a gambling, Steelers would have my money. I'm hoping the Cards win this one 37-31.

That coach was fired. That school has only 20 girls. They haven't won a game in 4 seasons. None of the 8 girls on the team have any experience playing basketball. Yet they are playing Varsity BB. The other school has a speedy point guard. Gifted, very special talent. She allowed the other team to cross mid court and stole the ball for a second half lay up drill. She had 48 points. They did come down and jack up 3's instead of the steady diet of layups they had running their offensive sets. They went to 3's and they fell just as fast. I have thought about delaying the game with 4 corners. Would that not be like playing keep away from your little brother? Demoralizing as well. I know I'd played every bench warmer starting the second Quarter. I'd would have slowed the tempo way down. That same night, the boys won their game against the same school 50-38, girls coached said it motivated his boys to a surprising victory. I think I have read that Dallas Acad will not have girls BB next year. They lost their final game of the season 41-8.

I will only buy a new product based on my friends inputs. I know these guys and have confidence in their sticks and know they don't make a living selling baits, they work for a living. Why do you think this Forum is known as one of the best? The Wealth of Knowledge that is shared!!!!!!!

My cheeks hurt for hours after dark that day. It will truly be one of the stories I tell my southern friends about some Yankees on Fork for years to come. Muddy, you could sell that story to the Texas Fish and Game magazine, they always have funny story on the inside back page, And it would be worth a dollar per word in my book.
