  1. I'll be getting mine in the mail shortly, I got the winch model.
  2. I love my Veritas rods as well, you cant go wrong with the V series rods....
  3. Must be nice, the best rods our walmarts carry are the berkley shocks lol.
  4. The V series rods have a 3 year warranty on them, send the broken rods back in...
  5. Christian is right, the are under rated, so a MH is more like a H... Check it out, I love my veritas rods.
  6. I agree 10# braid is just to light for a baitcaster, if you are set on using 10# braid put it on a spinning reel.
  7. I tried 15lb once and have a problem with the braid digging into the spool, went 20+ and never had a problem again.
  8. Welcome draggin, in Champaign about 15 minutes north of ya.
  9. I would say 5-10lb braid is way to light for a baitcaster.. I would go 6-8lb mono but if you want braid go atleast 20-30lb, it will make casting a lot easier on you. Also with the heavier braid you wont have to worry so much about the line diggin in and break off's..
  10. Veritas, I love mine, and will be adding another one shortly.
  11. I use a zillion for my jig rod and love it.

I have you agree with you on the Northstar jigs, amazing product... I have beat mine to hell off rocks and they still look great, the paint really holds up.
  13. Northstar jigs brought in most of my fish this year.
  14. I forgot to mention that I will be using this rod for mostly deep drivers and some shallow cranks, so is the mh still do stiff of a rod?
  15. This will be pretty much my primary cranking rod both shallow and deep so I'm thinking MH is probably the way to go.
  16. I am sending off my Vendetta 6'9" MH/F for warranty work and want to get a crankbait rod back. It has to be abu so no other makers please. Right now I am looking at: Vendetta 7' mh/f Vendetta 7'3" mh/m Veritas 7' mh/f Veritas winch 7' m/m Veritad winch 7' 6" mh/m Any other suggestions would be great.
  17. Action... I would think a Mod action rod would have to much give fishing deep cranks. I think I might just go with a MH/MF or MH/F and I can just it for other applications.
  18. Is a MH/M to light of an action for deep diving cranks?
  19. My experience with fish finders is limited at best, this will be my first one used....
  20. What about Lowrance Elite-4x DSI? Has anyone used one of these and like them better than the sonar? These are going for around 180 right now.
  21. I know but this is a gift to my dad and would like to buy him something new....
  22. So far I have found Garmin 400c, Garmin 300c, Garmin 160c, Lowrance® Elite-4x, Lowrance x67c compact, Eagle FishEasy 350C, and Humminbird 345c. Looking for a colored screen 3-5 inches, something I can mount to my trolling motor, and relativity easy to use... Which one of these would you guys put on your boat?
  23. Well I might do a little research on my trolling motor MinKota edge, and see if people have been getting interference. Thanks for your help!
  24. Would I get interference if I put my transducer on my trolling motor or would it be better to keep it at the back of the boat? I already have a mount at the back of the boat, but if I can save myself some time and room from running the wires to the back that would be ideal. Oh this is on a 14 ft jon boat btw.
  25. Thats awesome man, loving your jigs!
