  1. If your fishing in Florida I would use either a top water frog(like a zoom horny toad/ or a jds custom bait) or a spinner bait.
  2. Fished a Private Rock Pit with some buddies today. We caught 22-24 bass, most were under 2 pounds. One was a Big Ole Hawg. Video of trip
  3. The first friend I made when i moved to S. Florida went fishing with me today. We have hunted and fished all over the south but he had never seen or caught a snakehead. We boated a cooler full of nice snakeheads and a couple of good bass on top water frogs. The Gheenoe Super has really been beneficial lately since S. Florida is in a severe drought. I'am not able to go everywhere I want but I can launch at most all of the boat ramps and fish most of the water I need. I did run up on two ruble piles and a submerged trash can today. Minimal hull scrapes. Lord send us some rain....Please.
  4. Those are fantastic!
  5. I saw a Tackle Wharehouse add on FB. They are blowing out the current Curado E7's for $139. Guess there making room for the new models. Knowing Shimano, the new reels will be impressive.
  6. I recently bought 5 Cumaras. I like them alot! As far as durability goes? Time will tell. My favorite is the 7-2" the Med/Hvy Xtra fast. I have a 200E7 w/65# braid on it. Its an awesome stick. The 6-7" Med/Hvy Xfast is an incrdible crank baiting rod. You can feel a fish fart with it. The spinning rods are just as nice, however I would rather have seen a traditional reel seat instead of the ratcheting reel seat. I over tightened one and the grip parted. Shimano warranty and customer service is outstanding.
  7. The ramp at L-67 has plenty of water, so does the L-67A.
  8. The Magic canal has lost its magic with this low water. I was launching into L-67. The flood gate is slightly open on L-68. Dead sticking a worm on the up current side of the gate produced 7 fish from 4#-8# in a couple of hours for a buddy of mine yesterday.
  9. It is just like Holiday Park, just not as beat up. 12.1 miles west of chrome ave (hwy 27) and S.W 8th st. (Tamiami Tr). Boat ramp on right.
  10. It is just like Holiday Park, just not as beat up. 12.1 miles west of chrome ave (hwy 27) and S.W 8th st. (Tamiami Tr). Boat ramp on right.

  12. This week I fished down south with EvergladesBasser (Tom). He put on a "Big Easy" clinic. I'am definately a believer. Lost count of all the(his) fish. Good times and a great guy! Today me and another friend/guide, fished same water, but a little farther north. Boated 2 8#'s and a few in the 3-4# range. We were throwing BIG stuff.
  13. Way to get on em Dwight.
  14. Does anybody do any nightime fishing. When I lived in Orlando 80% of my fishing was at night and most all my big fish have come at night. Just wondering how it goes in the glades at night with the skeeters and prowling gators. Has to be productive, especially since its so hot now.
  15. Fished the Big Cypress yesterday evening. Tore em up on strike king lipless bait and a rapala 6-9 lipped crank. 4 fish over 4 and at least 25 of eating size. Got it all filmed as well. I cut the tip of my pinky off yesterday morning while cutting some onions......so I was in extreme discomfort everytime I set the hook. Gonna go get em again this afternoon.
  16. Have not been there but I have been busting up the Big Cypress pretty good. Got great numbers but no size. Water so low that the gators are hitting rapalas. I'am used to getting snagged on them but have never really had them strike while working deep....untill this year. Got 11-12 on 20 cast yesterday. I was trying out the C.S. Special that JD's Custom Baits just put out. Anybody need a fishing partner next week , just holler.
  17. North Loxahatchee Preserve is incredible. Has a nice rim canal and grass flats. Central Holey Land of Hwy 27 Sawgrass Park off hwy 27 Holiday Park off hwy 27 South L-68 off Tamiami Tr. L-67 off Tamiami Tr. All of these are fishy.
  18. I recently got 5 Cumaras, 3 Casting and 2 Spinning. I broke one, client broke one and did not like another. Shimano replaced all 3 no questions asked. Got to love that kind of customer service. I wanted the flipping rod but it was not available when I placed my order. Guarantee I'll get one pretty soon.
  19. Good looking fish Dwight!
  20. Tender vittels there
  21. Thats some good luck on the boat. Congratulations on the check P.S. I learned to swim in Toledo Bend at the old Procell fish camp.
