Buzzbaits or Wakebaits for me at night or when its raining.

I like reaction baits in the fall. Hard jerkbaits and hair jigs in the winter.

I have been fishing a lot of Wake Baits this year and decided to give them a dedicated stick. This is for fishing the larger ones that I have. Primarily the Deps Buzzjets and IMA Roumba's for right now. I have both the jr and the fullsize, and for me the full size is hands down the better one. Seems to have a different action and noise to it.

Glad you had better luck out there than we had at Raystown this morning. We got there at 530 and it was like we were in the middle of a t-storm for about 3 hrs. It rained so bad, that my buddies biliage pumps kicked on a couple times by the float that triggers them. Wind was blowing about 25mph too. We fished till about 11 and only managed a couple bites on topwater. Didnt hook up or land any. Guess the storm had them shut off.

That's just disgusting, the person has to have some kind of mental issues to be able to live in such a place.
