Hello, i am about to start pouring my own lead jigs and makeing them up. My questions is what do yall all look for in a good jig, such as fast or slow fall rate, presentation, rattles or no rattles, and head shape.

i use mono because it streches.

for freshwater i would rather use artificial lures, but in saltwater i use live bait almost all the time.

i will agree with roadwarrior, you will want a different rod for worms and another rod for cranks.

yes, i had a cheaper rod with it and powerpro worked fine on the reel but then i tried spiderwire and it chewed the guides up. i will never again use the stuff. powerpro from now on for me.

they look good, i would like them better if they were solid instead of hollow though.

if you do saltwater trips, do not do the sea bass trip. i went last weekend and it was 8 foot waves on a 25 foot boat with 15 people. it was also a bad guide. but as for freshwater i couldnt find any.

i can see your point being very true for someone who fishes UL a good amount. but as i dont and am just getting it mainly to catch baitfish when catfishing i dont need a super nice one.
