Chattahoockie Bass Fishing
I'm not even gonna try it until the release gets more reasonable at least hopefully warmer, I'm still figuring the ins and outs of handling my boat with a trolling motor so I'll be sticking to the lake. If you ever wanna go though I could be pretty easily convinced. P.S. is 'tailgater' a mention to fall saturdays because Tech football is pretty much my life half the year.

Chattahoockie Bass Fishing
Not yet, but I plan to start fishing over there relatively often when it gets warmer

Sea Monster caught
I had NO IDEA they got that big. That is so cool

fishing really muddy cold water
So add these conditions with the lake being down so no real shallow wood. I find a BLATANT line between clear and muddy water where a creek comes in. How do I fish it? Would that even be a good place to fish.

Predict Your Biggest Bass of 2010
10 again, I've hit it 3 years in a row and hope to do it again. Wish I could get the 15 lber I've had on my line a couple of times.

First "solid" fish of 2010.
NICE, I fished all saturday and sunday and didn't get a bite. How were you fishing the jig and what type of structure?

How many "warm" days to get them biting again?
FWIW, I haven't caught a thing yet this year. I normally fish faster things so I've tried slow techniques I'm not used to which may or may not be hurting the situation. By your tournament it should be better especially considering the size of the lake.

National signing day
Tech got everybody we expected plus that late DB from Maryland. Good class on average, but we didn't plan for attrition well enough.

Just bought my first bass boat
That's probably where I'll be keeping my boat. I sail out of there so I'm pretty familiar with it.

Chattahoochee
Good deal, I was thinking about floating down from Azalea park that way. Would you recommend up against the bank like I was thinking or is there possibly some grass out in the middle I should try to find?

Buzzbait Tips?
As I'm liable to lose 3 or 4 in a day of fishing them exclusively, I've found a way to modify the $.99 kind to work as well if not better(may be a confidence thing) than any others. I will get small and large of black, white, and chartreuse. I bend the blade and arm out a little bit so it catches more water and goes slower. I pull it over over, into, and around anything. If it's not getting strikes I change colors, if they're missing I change sizes.

I'm gonna head over to the hooch around GA 400 this Saturday and Sunday. I've never fished a river and am kinda curious what advice y'all might have about fishing such a shallow river (5-8 ft in that area). I've looked at a few inlets and plan on floating down and trying a variety of baits along the bank and around laydowns. In case it rains, I'm gonna bring some chicken liver for cats under a bridge.

Just bought my first bass boat
I paid 3500. It's a 95 and is in pretty decent shape. Rhino, just let me know man. And I know about the pics. I was gonna just use the ones from the ad and he took it down before I got back...I may have stopped by the lake on the way. Once I catch my first fish out of it I'll try to get a picture. 8-)

Just bought my first bass boat
thank ya. also wanted to add that if anyone in the area wants to spend a day on the lake, let me know and we'll set it up. I'm always interested in learning new techniques especially since I'm not used to fishing the lakes in my area.

Just bought my first bass boat
Tracker 17 ft with a 75 hp. I've gotta put a little bit of work into it to get it completely ready, but most everything works as is. I'm looking forward to getting out in it...wish the upcoming weekend's weather looked better.

Worst time hooking yourself
Not me, but my gf. She caught a 1 lb or so LM on a rapala minnow. When she went to unhook it and it flopped around and drove the hook home into her thumb. I'm not sure the rationale in her response, but she freaked and started waving her hand around with the bass still hanging from the lure and I couldn't get a hold of the thing. After about a minute of yelling at her to put her hand on the ground she got the message and I was able to get the fish off and I cut the lure off the pole. She fainted the first time at that point. She fainted again when she asked me what I was thinking about and I responded honestly that I was trying to figure out how to push the barb back through. Unfortunately the hook was too small and set too deep for that so I had to use a pocket knife to guide the barb out. Somehow this was all my fault for at least two weeks :

This has been and will always be my favorite football quote of all time. Especially since he probably meant it he was such an eccentric.

lake seminole help
Its overwhelming at times. There's so much Hydrilla you just have to tune it out. You can go to a spot that should be guaranteed to have fish and not get a bite, other times you go to an identical place and get nailed. I've never had a productive day there, but every fish I've caught has been over 3 pounds. Might try throwing frogs over and around hydrilla mats that time of year.

Spring and Summer shoes
I used to do barefoot, even on the shore...but then this happened. In the bottom right corner you can clearly see where my right foot pivoted to scramble away. You can imagine where my left foot was. This was where it came to rest after striking at my worm.

Work ethic
It's WAY too easy to get a college degree nowadays and a lot of them are absolutely worthless, but people with worthless college degrees sure as heck won't take hourly jobs. But even in the right position its hard to do a good job sometimes when you feel like you aren't getting enough information or support to do your job. There are certain aspects of my job right now that I hate related to that. I do my best, but still feel like I'm getting nowhere and don't have anyone that can give me solid answers/direction. I'm going to stick it out and hope that it at least shows that I'm putting effort in, but I can see where people in similar situations to myself would bolt. And to respond to the generally negative thoughts on consultants, it is most often cheaper than to have your own in house people. Right now, I have projects going at 3 different facilities and am only being paid by them for the hours I apply. As opposed to an onsite person who would be committing hours to overhead. That's why it's cheaper and why consultants are used. Of course if they still have the on site people, that's just plain silly on their part.

Interesting Article on Bass Repellents
I've kind of always suspected this about deet, but have still been able to catch fish anyways, it just doesn't look right when anything you touch looks like an oil spill in water. As with everything though, its probably more of a confidence factor than anything else.
