The Road To The Super Bowl 2018
Eagles look downright scary! There's talk at one of the Bills forums that Buffalo may be a trade partner for Phila given our abundance of tackles. Even talk of moving Dareus, but that's a tough bargain for cap space.

Show Me Your DIY Upgraded Kayak Seats
I wonder if you could use a heat gun to soften, but not too much to compromise, the PVC in order to bend it to your seat profile. Maybe cut out a profile of the bend in the seat with cardboard and use that to get the proper bend in the PVC. Unsure, just shooting in the dark to give some ideas.

Help a newbie out.
Welcome aboard! Wish I could help with what you should get, but alas, I use a cheap Garmin Echo 100 on my kayak... Some day I'd like to get a large-screen, sidescan, etc. finder.

BPS - Cabela's Merge
Scott- As I mentioned above, I got an email not too long back from Bass Pro in which some detail was provided that the stores will maintain their uniqueness and catering to areas where they are at. I believe store-brands will also be maintained. Here's the link to the info: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/together-faqs?cm_sp=CblAqSep2017_EMAIL&om_rid=Do2Izz&om_mid=_BZyXVaB9gegzhE

Show Me Your DIY Upgraded Kayak Seats
Oh I'm a DIY junkie for my kayak. I've done a bunch of seat mods over the years and just built a new one this past week. I've got a Native Ultimate 12, similar to @J Francho's Commander, but I don't have a perch. That's one thing I did like about the WS when I was deciding between the two. PVC is a DIY'ers material of choice here . I'll take some pix and post the latest, but suffice it to say, I'm back above the gunnels where I like to be. I prefer sitting up high in my yak. Previous DIY had me just below the gunnels but still higher up. Now I'm probably 6" higher. Lov'n it! I should point out that my avatar pic is an older mod where I was perched on the gunnels as well, but it was not a good setup as it put too much weight directly on them. Now I'm perched via 1" PVC just above. Ok, just took the pic. The mod is PVC welded together, but the underside (what I'm going to do with that space) is a work in progress...

Let's Talk Yaks
Got a buddy who fishes from a Tarpon 100. Fast little yak. And like @J Francho says, it ain't for standing. If I were you I'd try to get some time at a local shop to sit in some of these yaks you're looking at. Best is if you can demo one on the water before buying. I wasn't able to do that, but I did get a lot of sit-in time which really helped my decision. You can find some really good yaks in your $ range on Craigslist, and even demo models on sale at various retailers like Austin Kayak, Appomattox River Company, et al.

Missing images
Hmm. I decided to check my images and there are several that no longer show up - though the placeholder is there as well as any comments or naming... Curious. I don't upload a lot, only 40 pix over the years that I can see.

Aussie angler looking for some bass fishing during my travels.
Welcome aboard, Shane! Hope you have great luck during your visit. Nothing like nice catches to make it worth it! Then again, just being out fishing is usually worth it .

Initial Hammer Rod Review
I'd offer a welcome, but probably already did back when you joined in 2014 So welcome back! Nice review. Never handled a Hammer rod but they sound like a solid offering in the crowded rod market.

Can Your Favorite Rod Do This?
Awesome! Rod so strong it doubles as a kung fu weapon that can catch fish, fling propane tanks as projectiles, and serve as a jumping platform.

the line question
Welcome aboard! I use braid + leader, always now. Used to use straight braid back in the early 90s but when I got back into it and learned another thing or two in the 2000s I switched to braid/leader. Mainly due to expense of braid and desire to preserve it as my mainline. I can retie multiple times before cutting into the mainline when I use a leader.
