  1. I'm afraid they do. If in this form:
  2. 50 or 70 size Shimano reels. Daiwa reels @Raul mentioned.
  3. Welcome aboard!
  4. Welcome aboard!
  5. Another fan of 1000 size Shimano Stradics, but when I had an Avid (6'3" MXF) I felt it was quite tip-heavy. For me that is not cool, but some don't mind that. I exchanged/upgraded to a Legend Tourney 6'3" MLXF and was much happier. Broke that rod and it is now about 5'8 3/4" but still awesome . Anyhoo, Stradics are fantastic. A 2500 would probably balance better on a 7 footer, IMO.
  6. Excellent fish! Hey, you're young, please wear a PFD!! I won't let my sons go yakkin' without wearing one. Sorry, my fatherly instinct kicking in
  7. No idea how many times I've flown...but I've had some interesting turbulence in Dallas, TX, and when I flew a small prop plane (biz trip) from Rochester to Toronto. Was very very bumpy ride...to put it mildly. Wintery time of year in Western NY is a windy time.
  8. I had a phase where I had difficulty stopping myself from purchasing gear. But that phase didn't help my family in any way shape or form... So I had a snap-out-of-it period and while I am not fully cured, I no longer buy ... no longer buy ... no lo.... <head explodes>

    Welcome aboard!
  10. Welcome aboard! For me, in Virginia (and any other state I've visited), the 4" Senko or knock off from BPS is probably tops. However, this year it has been that AND the Yamamoto Shad Shaped Worm (also 4") mainly rigged drop shot, but often wacky, too.
  11. Welcome aboard, Deborah!
  12. Welcome aboard!
  13. I use a Stick-It Anchor Pin. Good weight to it that it is easy to sink into mud and such. However, I've suggested this before here on the forum, a golf ball retriever mod:
  14. Welcome aboard!
  15. Welcome aboard!
  16. Welcome aboard, Bryce! I don't have either reel, but I do have a Chronarch 50e that is more than capable of doing everything a larger reel can do. A number of us here that use the 50 size use it for all manner of casting presentations. FWIW. If it were me, I'd pick the 70, but I am also particular to smaller reels. Just more comfortable to me.
  17. Welcome aboard! Worth is a value judgement in the "eye of the beholder" so to speak. I/we cannot make that decision for you. Opinions, however, are a dime a dozen What is "worth it" to me is not to someone else. Kind of like driving a Toyota Corolla vs a Porsche. Both get you from point A to point B. As has been said, the fish don't know what you spent, what brand you bought, etc. So it only matters to you in terms of value/worth. Me? My sweet spot is the Shimano Stradic lineup for spinning, and the Chronarch for casting; however, I always look for deals and usually don't pay full retail
  18. Welcome aboard, Vern!
  19. I love bass fishing, but I love catching fish, period! Doesn't matter the species. I am thinking about putting my kayak in the York River down here (tributaries and small water areas) to fish for the abundant species we have. I.e., I am open to expanding to salt water... As for fresh, if it can be caught on a hook, I don't mind catching it. Beats a skunk day on the water any time!! Sometimes I go out with long poles and target bluegill and crappie. Amazingly fun stuff.
  20. Welcome aboard, and congrats on your first bass. May it be the first of many
  21. Welcome aboard!
  22. Welp, the Bills had a great weekend. A bye. LOL And what does Dallas do with Romo? Would he be willing to throw a ball in Buffalo? Hmmm. We did it with Bledsoe when Brady replaced him... Congrats to the 'Hawks for their stopping of the Brady Bunch in NE. Revenge is a dish best served cold, so says the old Klingon proverb. However, the Pats can and will shrug it off seeing they won a ring from the last one
  23. Brand: Gamakatsu Style: Split Shot/Drop shot for wacky, mojo, etc. Style: Finesse Wide Gap - Wacky Style: O'Shaughnessy bend for TX, mojo, etc.

Heh, nice one. I'm no longer a Bills fan, all in with the Browns. And I heard fly fishing will be added to the Elite tour in 2017.
  25. Welcome aboard!
