Fishing Techniques For Virginia In March
If I haven't welcomed you already, then welcome! I have not fished on the South Side yet, I fish up in the Peninsula, Yorktown, NNPK, and Williamsburg - Gloucester, too. That said, all of those fisheries are reservoirs. Each responds to soft plastics for me, normally fished wacky, Texas, Mojo, and Jika rigged. My main rig is wacky, though. Fished at downed trees, bridges, etc., it has been absolutely killer for me. To hit grassy outcroppings, I'll Texas and Mojo mainly, with some Jika on the side. Don't happen to be a hard-bait fisherman much at all. I've tried, and still try, but my success comes on soft plastics. So others will have to chime in there. The waters up here are generally "green-clear" and the fish respond well to a number of colors, not the least of which are Watermelon Magic (BPS Stick-o, or Yamamoto Senko), Green pumpkin/black flake, Green pumpkin magic, Green pumpkin gold flake, watermelon red flake, and such variations. I'll fish these colors for Yamamoto Senkos, BPS Stick-Os, Zoom Finesse and Trick worms. You're mileage may vary down there. I just don't know those waters well. Best of luck to ya!

Power Pro Superslick Vs Regular Power Pro
Wouldn't be the first time I was caught in the Advertisor's net, LOL. My wife has called me an "Adverisor's dream". Something I have to control, and fortunately, the older I get, the more self-control I get. Heh. At least I hope so. I had the opportunity to buy SS last year, but as I looked at the different braids, I reached down and grabbed regular PP simply because I know it and am comfortable with it. Not sure I'll ever change. I do want to try Sufix 832 one of these days, but I just don't know if I will....

Power Pro Superslick Vs Regular Power Pro
x2, but from other posts, the SuperSlick gets good marks, much quieter than regular. However, time reveals all, and I'd like to see how it continues to perform for those who use it. Personally, I've stuck with regular Power Pro, and always return to it after trying other brands. I just haven't been willing to pull the trigger on the SS yet.

Punch Rig & Snell Knot
Same here, number of wraps depends on pound-test of the line, and shank available. Wasn't called the revised snell when I learned it, just the snell, or just one way to tie a snell. But I'll take "revised"....

Punch Rig & Snell Knot
Plus the snell pulls the entire shank, arguably a straighter pull than being tied perpendicular in the eye. Love the snell, use it all the time for almost everything but weedless hooks.

I Need Some Help With My Grammar And Writing.
Learning is a life-long process, I applaud your desire to improve yourself here. I work for a guy who was a journalist/literature teacher in college. He's been instrumental in helping me. And he's the master of brevity in sentences. Grammar Girl is pretty good with this stuff, here's her take on the topic: http://www.quickanddirtytips.com/education/grammar/how-to-write-clear-sentences Hope this is helpful to some extent.

Flooding
Not so much tackle, but I'll stick to shorelines as I've had a lot of success when the local reservoir is high and flooding a lot of areas.

Shimano Warranty And Bps
Some will argue that it is dependent on the BPS you go to whether or not the Shimano warranty will be honored. It was explained to me at both the Richmond and Hampton, VA BPS stores that Shimano warranties will be no-questions-asked replacements. Fortunately for me I've not had to test the warranty yet. And frankly, I don't want to now. I have the previous-gen Compres with the awesome cork handles and notched out place for your finger above the reel. So I hope they last forever... or maybe BPS will let me replace + upgrade to a Crucial. But that, I haven't asked.

I believe this was in a 3-pack at Costco's over the holidays. Something like $22. I almost bought the pack. How is it?
