Of what I've tried, XPS fluorocarbon. I've yet to try Sunline and Tatsu. But not sure I'll ever get there as I find coated/infused fluoro+copoly lines P-Line Floroclear and Yo-Zuri Hybrid more than capable in most every situation. And I'm talking leader material here, not mainline (braid for me). FWIW.

I always liked the looks of the Quantum spinning reels. On occasion I pick them up at BPS to "play" with them. They've got a solid feel to my hands. But what I end up buying are Shimano and Daiwa reels....

Good point, and I forgot to mention that we use them in salt water mostly (for live bait presentations).

Yeah, that'd be a reason to carry in Florida. Not many would be able to fend off a python like this if it latched hold of a leg. Recurved teeth on a beast like that would be rather...painful. Love snakes myself, as I said above, I'm a hunter/collector, but non-venomous varieties.
