  1. Well, to further deplete any cash in your wallets guys, if you haven't seen, Stick-Os are on sale for $3.74 - 41/4" $3.97 - 5 3/8" per pack right now.
  2. Yeah, ditto that. I'd take another 50e or two of those white curados when the rush on the Core-onarchs hits :-). Easier to justify to my wife. No, take that back. Won't be easier to justify.

Good fish! For me the bigger bass have come during high/flooded conditions. Been a good year for the most part, though!
  4. Might I suggest you buy some wacky hooks to complement the sport. I like Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse hooks for just the purpose. If you're close to a Bass Pro, they have 'em in stock. I like size 1 the most, some guys here prefer larger. I caught my 7 1/2 lb PB on a size 1 wacky rig, and I've caught plenty of 3-6 pounders on the size 2... http://www.basspro.com/Gamakatsu-Finesse-Wide-Gap-Hooks/product/52846/
  5. Hit the water with those 5 3/8" pups and wacky rig 'em!
  6. First, no, I've not tried the Rage rig, others who have may chime in on that. Wacky is my #1 way to rig senko-style baits. My other go-to baits for wacky are Zoom Finesse and Trick worms. I'll either weightless-rig or use a weedless wacky jig for senko-style, etc. Wacky is absolutely killer in these parts. I weightless TX rig, too, and I will also both wacky and TX rig a worm using a split-shot further up the line to give a different presentation in the depths. Wacky rigging is easy and quite fun. I heartily suggest you try it. One thing though, be patient. Be aware of what you're throwing the rig into, especially if it's not a weedless hook. If it's a heavy worm, let 'er sink a bit, then give it some action to keep it above/out of the sticks (unless weedless). If it's something like a light Zoom Finesse worm, give it more time, then twitch your rod tip 1-3 times up, let it sink back down and her action will do all the work to entice the bass there.
  7. I found the post I made about my experiment. I also show pix of the worms I mentioned. You might find it interesting (or not) http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/108274-experiment-a-success/?hl=bps%20stik#8208o=
  8. Welcome aboard!
  9. Yep! I use 'em in the 4 and 5 inch varieties. Colors work very well. Favs are watermelon magic and pepper frog hot orange. Set out one day to use nothing but Stick-O's to gain confidence in them. Probably catch more on these now than I do Yammies! Don't have a picture offhand, and the BPS site doesn't do the worm justice. The Pepper Frog side is a green color, with the other side orange. Unfortunately BPS doesn't have the best quality control on laminates, several in every pack I've bought have been mostly green with little orange. But they still catch.

Got me one of these at BPS...like it enough to wear it often, but sometimes the wind drives me nuts as the brim will flip up all the time. But it's super cool to wear (not cool as in The Fonz). http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-XPS-Summit-Explorer-Boonie-Hat/product/12083105205454/ Otherwise I'll wear a ball cap style hat.
  11. Is that an X-Ship mark?! And swept handles!
  12. Welcome aboard, Tim!
  13. Hmm. My eldest son and I were in boggy waters in our canoe. 50lb thrust motor was up and out so we could cross over fallen logs near a beaver dam. Got a little stuck on a log so we scootched forward. Unfortunately we tipped and the motor broke, our $300 digicam was soaked beyond saving, my brand new mobile phone was soaked, and my crocs were sucked off thanks to the goopy muddy bottom. Rods saved. Some gear lost. Very expensive. After that I made pontoons so it would never happen again. Now I ride a kayak I can stand in w/o pontoons. And everything is in waterproof pouches, LOL. That's my horror story.
  14. Oh man I wish I didn't watch that. Nobody tell my wife, K? I promise not to buy one until some credit cards are paid off.
  15. This makes the most sense to me. I'm in love with my CH50e, would eventually love another one (7.1:1 would be awesome, please), so if they keep the white aluminum lineup and add a black Ci4 series, that'd be fine by me.
  16. Welcome! So much you can learn from the folks here. Fantastic resource!
  17. Welcome aboard, destroyer!
  18. Welcome TBG. I graduated from UNT in '92!
  19. I tried it, and boy what a mess! Red got all over my baitcaster, fingers, etc. Now that was a couple years back, so maybe the formula doesn't bleed as much now. It's PowerPro, so a great braid, just didn't like the bleed. I use yellow PP now. Bleeds a little, but less noticeable.
  20. Bass Thumb is a badge of honor, wear it well.
  21. Welcome aboard!
  22. That's cool. I've seen bass around bluegill beds, but haven't observed the same behavior (that I was aware of) you describe.
