  1. the fishing on tarpon will be on FIRE then, If you are going to fish from the bank go to Anderson Park, all the way in the back is a sea wall and about 20-30 yards is a hydrilla line and you can through small shiners and live shrimp as well and catch them. The whole live shrimp thing suprised me untill I watched a guy haul in about a 4#'er. I will be going quite often over the next couple of months so PM me when you will be at the lake and if im able to head out ill get you off the bank and show you how good this lake is.
  2. when will you be down on vaca?
  3. is that camera in a tank or in a lake cause those are some big bass
  4. Idont believe so, its like owning a jon boat, they should inspect it then sticker it
  5. What about bass cam? are they doing that again?
  6. I realize I may be sounding dumb but just starting doing local club tourney's and maybe a BFL tourney or two. What should I expect from them from them if they will sponsor me?
  7. You said you played for the Falcons, If you dont mind me asking what your name is and around what time you played, I am probably a bigger football fan than a fishing fan. Feel free to PM me if you dont want people to see your info
  8. I dont see why not if it is done right, just make sure to refiberglass it, dont leave the wood bare for it will rot or break easier. As for integrity, I don't know if it will hurt because it is a 79.
  9. When you are sponsored through tru tungston, what is the deal that they give, I have never been sponsored but I would like to look into it over the next couple of years
  10. EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEE could you imaging doing a weigh in and someone crapping in their depends hahahaha gross
  11. They have a big article and great photo's of West so you should all check it out. I am really pulling for him, he is an inspiration to all young anglers who think they will never get there.
  12. only for strength but nothing else, it wont hurt it at all unless you go too big without the proper adjustments but anywhere close will not hurt. If you are wanting more strength from the rear look into Monroe Sensa trac/Load adjusters from NAPA it will make a huge diff for rear strength.
  13. glad you posted it now before you wraped the boat and not after lol
  14. Lake Padget is private, Tarpon does have a good fishing area at the sea wall from anderson park, and lake Fern im not real famillar with but Tarpon is your best bet
  15. also the 700R4 tranmission is a very strong tranmission but I will still never recomend towing in OD, gas mileage will still be good if kept at the right speed, if you are doing 80 then the RPM will be high enough to go into OD but if doing 55 you milege will actually be better out of OD because the motor is not working as hard. 700R4 rebuilt tranny is $1300 plus installation so why risk it.
  16. Even though you have a trans cooler it is not good to tow in overdrive unless your rpm's will be around 2200, it puts too much stress on your transmission and it WILL burn up over time. I grew up in a tow truck, My great grandfather started a towing company in 1947 witch my dad runs today, trust me when I say dont tow in overdrive or you will break the wallet in time. Transmission coolers are very good to have but they will only help so much.
  17. I have had horrible luck with Wallmart batteries with them being defective and I switched to NAPA batteries(Deka/East Penn) and great luck with Optimas but for the price I go with NAPA because I work there and I pay 10% over cost but the Optimas 3yr free replacement is great but having a good charging system is a huge deal on Battery life. My buddy has ran Optimas for a while and loves them. But IMO wallmart batteries are Junk! after the fourth one in warrantee I switched.
  18. I like to see them struggle but i have always like big bags on the classic. I did like the tourney last season where KVD was fishing all new water because the bite shut down and he came back to I think win, im not sure which one it was but I did enjoy watching them have to think
  19. I know this sounds off but I was going to say that the coil might be going bad because I had a 115 Johnson that had the same symptoms but I didn't want to give you bad advice before I double checked lol ;D but im glad you got it fixed and let me know how you do on Walk-in-Water
  20. Glad you guys had a great time, just remember to come back often and enjoy the great Florida fishing
  21. HAHAHA got me. I knew there was a striking a resebelance
  22. Im looking for a partner for a team tournament trail....Is he available? ;D
  23. Idk, I can see your point but as well I still wish they would hold the classic in Florida where the big dogs are living lol
  24. I would, I would be getting pretty frustrated by now
