I have some old crankbaits that were my grandfathers. I want to get them fixed up and then give them to my dad as a gift. so i was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in fixing them up. Most arent in bad shape. There are only 4 or 5 total. Let me know if your interested and also a ball park figure of how much it would cost. thanks guys!

    great to have you
  9. what are some tactics that you use you fish rip rap? Here is what i do.... #1) Position my boat parallel to the back and find a crankbait that will barely bump into the rocks during my retrieval. The deflections off the rocks get the majority of my bites. #2) Shaky Head. I will cast into the bank and slowly bring it back. Did i say slowly? I meant VERY VERY slowly, #3) Fat Ika. I may be different in this, but i like to parallel the bank to fish it. I throw out and fish very slowly, bouncing it and pulling it up off the bottom
  10. a black/blue/peuple jig with a rattle fished really slow may work. you have your work cut out for you though
  11. nice swimbait. i really like them. anything that resembles the fish in the water your fishing will work
  12. a trip down the new river with a few dozen hellgramites and a few dozen lizards....... thats the life

  14. I'll be visitng a friend here this summer and we plan on doing some fishing. What are some good strategies and lures here? thanks!
  15. Wow. that is an amazing job.
  16. they both produce. im my opinion though ALL the rage products product more strikes. But the brush hogs are a great bait too.
  17. the new river produces great in the sping, summer, and fall. your biggest fish will certainly come in the spring; after that its mostly fish that are less than 14 inches. Im taking my son there this spring or summer and its the first time hes been in a long time. We're pretty excited. The New River is great though!
  18. Nice!!! what were you using?
  19. not sure about this time of year, but the rage toad produces well for me when the temps are a little higher. maybe try a slow buzzbait or something?
  20. its hard to tell through the beard. but i remember shaw pre-beard, and they are pretty similar haha
  21. i use these pretty often. i have great luck with them. The scent is so strong though haha. but they do produce. i fish them on jig heads and swim them over weed beds and off points
