  1. I've got a couple of their lower end spinning reels, the Stratus XTS40 and XTS30. I think they're pretty decent. I don't have any experience with their higher end reels at all.
  2. I picked up some Matzuo poppers on clearance at Wal-mart, but I haven't gotten to use them yet because I don't think they'd work very well as an ice fishing lure.
  3. I caught a bass and a bunch of pickerel swimming the bug just under the surface, but that was about it. I got a few packs left that I got cheap, but I don't think I'm gonna buy anymore after they're gone.
  4. Creme Burke Weedless Frog, all it did for me was flip on it's back
  5. Yeah, I've got maybe a hundred zoom lizards, couple dozen powerbait lizards, few dozen tiki moko lizards, and i picked up a bag of 100 from bass assassin for like 4 bucks, getting a little ridiculous
  6. I've bought hundreds of soft plastics (lizards, worms, frogs, stickbaits, etc.), dozens of hooks, hundreds of bullet weights, couple dozen jigs, poppers, jitterbugs, jerkbaits, like 5 more rods and reels, tackle binder. If I keep buying stuff, my fiance is gonna kill me.
  7. Thanks for all the input, I'm gonna hold off and try to pick up a 12 footer or something. I can't have a boat trailer where I live so I'm pretty much limited to a canoe, jon boat, or something like a bass raider.
  8. You could probably pop the actual bullet off and flush the powder, dunno what to do about the primer though
  9. Cool, thanks. I'm not sure on the width of the boat.
  10. There's a 10 foot jon boat on craigslist in my area for $100, would that be too unstable for someone my size? I'm 6'4" and 275. I wouldn't be trying to trick it out, just put a trolling motor on it and maybe a clamp on seat.
  11. SJ was a little too sweet for my taste. I tried Spiced Jack and I thought that was pretty good, 94 proof and it tastes the same as regular Cpt.
  12. Looking at the description, you rig it by hooking it right in the middle.
  13. I used mostly 6" lizards last year, and I had most of my bites using a size 1 offset EWG hook.
  14. I picked up a pair of berkley sunglasses at walmart for $5 and they worked pretty well until I lost them.
  15. Just picked up 2 bags of 70 hoggs, a bag of 100 lizards, and 4 jigheads for 7 bucks + 8 bucks shipping.
  16. A few granola bars, water, maybe a couple sandwiches.
  17. I'm an LPN in the Army Reserves. On the civilian side, I work as an LPN at a nursing home.
  18. Jigs w/ trailers Crankbaits- both lipped and lipless Soft plastic frogs Flukes Carolina Rigs and a few other things I can't think of right now.
  19. I just picked up a binder from BPS with 8" x 10" pages. I have most of my plastics in there with labels on each page saying what type of bait is in there. I keep all my Gulp plastics in there original bags in the bottom of my tackle box.
  20. If a show is informative and has a lot of good action in it. I don't like shows that try to push a certain product the whole time so it seems like 30 minute commercial.
  21. Mossy pumpkin 6" lizard
  22. Yeah, it rained here at the beginning of the week, then it warmed up for like 2 days, I got all excited, but now it's like 15* w/o wind chill. I went ice fishing with some buddies today and froze my butt off. Definitely can't wait for spring.
  23. I picked up a spool of it at the end of the summer, and I really liked it. Very visible above water, so you can line-watch a lot better, but almost invisible below water. Definitely a good buy.
