  1. I went to my local WM recently, they now have tungsten weights, Abu Garcia and Falcon rods, and an increased quantity and quality of reels and lures. It's too bad I don't need any more rods and reels at this point, or I'd have a shopping spree.
  2. I picked up the 6'8" MXF for shaky heads. I've only used it once, and I didn't catch anything, but I like the rod itself. Sorry if this isn't more helpful, but when the weather starts being more cooperative, I'm gonna get some more fishing time in with it. I have a 7' MH regular Tec Spec, which I used quite a bit last year. It's one of my primary rods that I fish now.
  3. Ordered some swim jigs last week, can't wait until they get here.
  4. I have the day off tomorrow, so I will definitely will be beating the banks for a couple of hours. Water's still pretty cold, but i'm gonna throw a little of everything until I figure them out.
  5. I picked up a couple spools of the 8lb test. I've never used that specific type before, but I figured that for $10/spool, I couldn't really go wrong.

I bought a Field and Stream spring scale because my Rapala scale was killing my batteries w/o using it. I weight my 10lb anchor and a 5lb kettle bell weight and both were dead on.
  7. Anybody catching anything these days? I'm thinking about going out for an hour or two on Sunday since it's supposed to be nice out. Any suggestions on baits, locations, etc.?
  8. Count me in please
  9. I'm stocked up on baits and terminal tackle. I just need to pick up some fluoro and a couple new rods, and then I'm all set.
  10. I usually use 1/8 oz or 3/16 oz stand-up type shaky heads. I also have some 3/8 oz shaky heads w/ and EWG hooks that I use for bigger baits.
  11. Not to hijack your thread, but I wanted to say thanks too. I was one of the other winners, and I got my package yesterday. Thanks Mike D!!
  12. The one near me had Chigger Toads for $1.49, Jackall Sasuteki craws for $1.98, Big Bite Baits Flying Squirrels in 2 colors for $1.23/pack, and quite a few other things. I cleaned out the flying squirrels that were on sale and grabbed a few packs of the chigger toads and sasutekis, as well as a pack of SK Ochos, some Stanley Ribbits, and an SK spinnerbait. Overall I got about $52 worth of stuff for about $30, since a couple things I grabbed weren't on sale. Also, I was one of the winners of the Lunkerville giveaway, so I got 6 packs of various Big Bite Baits and a hat. All in all it was a hell of a haul for me today.
  13. b- first letter of my first name, Brennan Willis- my last name, as in Whachoo talkin' 'bout
  14. The one in my town had Big Bite Baits Flying Squirrels in Blue Fleck color for $1.23/pack. The tag still said 3.79, but they rang up for 1.23
  15. When I took the NCLEX to get my nursing license, there wasn't a set number of questions, just a range 85-230 or something like that. The test would just end randomly and we found out later if we passed or failed.
  16. My gamertag on Xbox live is army68wm6 if you're looking for someone to play with hooksetdon
  17. I played the Campaign mode last night, stayed up 'til about 6am. Took me about 4 1/2 hours to do that. Gonna play online tonight, thankfully I have the day off tomorrow.
  18. Is anyone heading out this weekend that is looking for a partner?
  19. Baby brush hog on a shakey head, I catch most of my fish on it, including my PB. Dark colors for dirty water or low light, whatever I grab first for any other time.
  20. On the rare occasion that my wife decides to accompany me fishing, she will fish for 5-10 minutes, then lie back and tan or something.
  21. Thanks a lot. I was actually trying to get to Purgatory Pond, but the road was blocked off because they were doing some tree work or something. On my way around, I saw a boat launch sign, so I headed there instead.
  22. I pulled at 21" long, 6lb LMB out of Kimball Pond in Dunbarton yesterday afternoon. I caught it on a black ruby baby brush hog on a 1/8oz shaky head on 8lb XPS fluoro.
  23. One day I caught the same 2-2 1/2 lb bass at least twice, but possibly a third time. Each time was the same lure, a baby brush hog on a 1/8oz shakey head, but in a different color.
