  1. :-? i got bass times for awhile and they are very hard to read because they are so big and flimsy and i do not think they are very good either. i just got a thing in the mail to renew my bass times subscription but it went in the trash
  2. i got all that stuff too ive been a bassmaster since the beginning of 07 and they are the best magazines i have ever read. i love being a member and just being a member can be beneficial too like u get more rewards points at bass pro for certain things if u show them your BASS card
  3. Well i got the most amazing deal the other day . Was with my mom and my friend one night before a fishing trip getting some groceries at save mart. Went to go check out their totaly amazing stock of quality fishing gear hahahaha when my friend spotted big 8 inch heavy trout swimbaits on sale for 10 bucks when their normal price is 30 to 40 bucks EACH!so of course i bought one for my dad and one for me . Theyre bass harrassers. Well with all the hogs in Cali out here and all the success with giants we hear from them were gonna throw them around winter time. I mean we use smaller swimbaits but have never thrown this monsters i mean they must way a pound to a pound and half each. We have big 5:1 abus that are sitting around we are planning to use for them. Any tips how to fish them?and any gear tips?im planning to try throwing them with 20 pound flouro but if u object to that got any other suggestions?thanks
  4. thats one mean looking SOB hahaha
  5. i think when dragonflys or damselflies fly on me or my rod or if im in a kayak or belly boat it helps my determination and even rewards me with a fish sometimes ;D
  6. What is a Thermacell? And where can we get them? Google it. hahaha obvious answer
  7. Nicccccce. She looks like she might go 3 and a half
  8. i think u guys should change the post count thing meaning the rank of your memberness. I mean u could just post a ton and then have it say been a member a really long time. It should be based on how long the person has been on here
  9. iiiiiii dont think so.There are a lot of pros that live right on lakes and fish them a lot because they're their home lakes and a lot of times they dont make it very far in the tourny.
  10. Its called a day on the lake in bassmasters magazine lol
  11. X2 Tell those "well decorated" guys to kiss your butt. I would have started casting my lines right across their bow cause that crap just don't fly with me. And if they push the issue I could tell you how to put your oars to good use. To answer your question, NO, a big boat has no more rights than a dingy. Hearing this kind of thing ticks me off so freakin much...... Sorry you had to deal with this crap dang that ticks me off Chill?lol
  12. Exactly. Just because they have a nice boat doesn't mean they're stuck up jerks, even know what they did was wrong.I bet youd like to have a boat like that and if you got one that doesn't mean your a tournament beasty whos inconsiderate of everyone else.Just a couple of bad apples like everyone else said
  13. Well i wouldn't blame them for the whole roaring out of the place things because if u spend 40 grand on a boat your gonna use it.If you had one like it im pretty sure you'd do it too. But yea it really grinds my gears when we'll be fishing a bridge piling or a big ol tully stretch and these tournament guys pull up 50 feet ahead of us and cut us of.And what makes me mad the most is that they act completely normal like they think its okay and they just sset down the trolling motor and start fishing like nothing happened and everythings fine.Talk about horrible fishing ethics
  14. OOOOOO LOOK AT THAT BIG OL PEEG!haha cracks me up when he says that
  15. we need to buy one of those. In the winter time, when we fish deep out here on new melones,a lot of fish we bring up are puffed. We mostly do catch and release, but every once in awhile we will eat some from melones, only the spots though because we don't really care for them. Sometimes we'll think we wanna eat them and we decide we dont want to at the end of the day and the fish are poofed. And some get poofed right away from being caught. So i think ill buy one of those
  16. Alrighty i have a 100 gallon koi pond.....with no koi lol. It has had them before but we had a bit of a racoon problem.Yeap we got at him a couple times but he always ended up getting away. I also had 3 pet bass. Very amazing. But they shared the same fate as the koi. For some reason the racoon left, or died somehow, but now i have a bluegill.I had 2, but for something happened to one of them. He got crippled out of no where like something smashed his side, and ended up dying from it.We think he got caught under the filter when we were cleaning the pond. So now theres one, and he has made a spawning bed ;D. He gaurds it even though theres no eggs or anything.Just a gravely, sandy green spot in the middle of the moss clumps in the pond. Do you think it would be fine to put a female in there and they would mate, or would he be aggressive towards her?and do any of you know how to tell the difference between a male and a female?thanks
  17. Nothing like a big striper boil out here in the delta youll be bass fishing and then u hear some explosions and there are seagulls everywhere and your spooks are being busted and crankbaits getting slammed and then sometimes they dissapear as fast as they came. I can't believe how hard those things pull i've had a 2 lber pull little bits of drag off one of my baitcasters. Our biggest so far is a 25#er
  18. Spro Bronzeye for the lures, and the Strike King Rage Toad for the soft frogs
  19. Where do u get mega strike?ive tried nitro grease and that works well, and ive used spike it.Spike it sucked for awhile because it was messy, but i bought a spike it pen and i love it now
  20. Hahahahahahaha oooooohh i thought BP stood for Bass Pro lol
  21. Agreed, still a sucker for the yum craw series though. I may need to check out the rage on the rage craws though... Anyhow, thats what I am talking about, putting science into action. If most of us (maybe most of you do already) knew the cycles of crawdads like we did shad, we would all be a bit better off, or at least sound like we did. Cheers. I have never seen as much action on any other trailer or crawdad imitating plastic as a Rage Lobster or Craw. Its unbelievable
  22. i love throwin a senko and feeling that tap tap or a u start reeling in your slack and your line is going sideways and u feel the tug when u set that hook and when u get the fish in that 3/0 gamakatsu wide gap hook is coming through his mouth and out of the front of his gillplate 8-)
  23. With the rocky structure and drop offs,id go with a drop shot or a deep crankbait for deeper off shore structure,or shallow crankbait on shallower rock piles and flats .If they're fluctuating a lot of water id throw a crankbait because there would be quite a lot of current id think
