  1. Thanks for the input. I'll be trying them out in a few weeks.
  2. Anybody have any luck with them. I just purchased a few.
  3. I know when I order wire guard jigs, they come with 3 stranded wire thats soldered on the ends after its cut. Its the stuff the use for saltwater wire leader material. I think Stamina has it in their catalog. It comes in a coil and different diameters.
  4. Are these the ones that snap into the double jig collars? If so, I have a some I could part with, way cheaper than that.
  5. I throw white blades w/ a little gold glitter a lot. Also all white buzzbaits. White seems to work for me under all conditions. Probably just confidence in it.

Don't know about the braid, but the stuff is slick. I used to spray it on mono and my rod guides. Honestly, I don't know if it made a difference. I can see how it coould condition the line and let it pass through the guides with less resistance. Also if you spray some on your partners seat and take off they go flying onto the floor. ;D
  7. 1/8 Football Jig - Brown/Orange w/ craw trailer 3/16 Spider Slider Head w/ 4" str. tail worm (either Brewers or Berkley)
  8. Those islands just below the dam in the Susq. hold some nice fish when they flow water. Like Stratos said, it is kind of protected.
  9. On Candlewood and other lakes in CT and NY, jerkbaits are my #1 early spring bait. On Long Island though, I can't get bit on them. My club fishes Candlewood opening week for a 2 day tournament and it's my favorite tournament. I absolutely love jerkbait fishing. Throw in some hair jigs, jigs and a blade bait for the deeper areas and I'm happy.
  10. Lunkerville and Hook and Look are both very good shows.
  11. I just ordered 40 VMC trebles to replace half my crankbait box. Water got into a compartment in the boat and then into a Plano box with about 60 baits. Just cut them off and replaced the split rings and hooks.
  12. Shad colors for crankbaits Gold/Black and Silver/Blue/Orange for jerkbaits All white for spinnerbaits Green Pumpkin, red shad, blue fleck for plastics
  13. Brendan, went out today on the island, nothing much going on. In the weeks to come, the fish should be moving to the banks w/ rock and wood in shallower areas. A 1/8 black jig has worked very well for me early in the year.
  14. Normally sell or try to trade the stuff I haven't used in a while. Most of it is extra's I bought thinking it was the last bait I'd ever need again.
  15. ;D funny, but not.
  16. Added a few Bandit 200 cranks, Red Eye Shads, some blade baits (silver buddies etc) got into this late in the fall last year and re stocked some plastics. I've been unloading a lot of the stuff I dont use anymore.
  17. A Carolina Rig, I just can't seem to get into just draggin' the thing around.
  18. 1/4 white/silver roostertail, 1/4 gold/gold blue fox vibrax and a small 1/16 and 1/8 blk football jigs
  19. I have 4 older Pinnacle VS10's and a VS5, all have cracked the plastic gear that drives the worm gear and level wind. Are there replacement parts available for these? Thanks.
  20. My sons been using one for about 4 years now for freshwater bass and large stripers, never heard a peep out of it.
  21. My son catches a ton of small bass and panfish in small ponds on float and tiny 1/16 maribou jigs.
  22. 3/16 spider slider head and a 4" finesse straight tail power worm or luck e strike 4" razor worm.
