  1. Better do a little research for what’s already taken. Good luck.
  2. Big fish eat small fish. That’s why bait works so well. Enjoy it.
  3. I believe I’d wait till I needed something, or at least had a good idea of what I wanted myself. I wouldn’t waste it on what somebody else wants you to have.
  4. Almost anything small and slow. Don’t over think the baits. Concentrate on the presentation.
  5. Pandapas Pond. Bass and pickerel. Gets stocked with trout a couple times a year.
  6. I think it might depend on how hard you set the hook?!?
  7. Rapala husky jerks for me.
  8. Good luck with your efforts. You have a lot of competition, many who already produce an excellent product.
  9. I set the hook when I feel them bite, or I think I feel them bite.
  10. I wouldn't worry about how long it takes. Just enjoy the trip. Days on the water will be your friend.
  11. I catch smallmouth bass on musky baits all the time. Not necessarily big bass either. Also catch musky on bass baits too.
  12. McCoy area of the New River has some of the best fishing around.
  13. I might be interested in an early spring trip to Santee area. Anyone in the area with advice? Dependable guide? Crappie or catfish, or both? Might be the end of February or early March. Thanks for any help you can give.
  14. I have put them 15 feet into trees so I suppose I can cast them too far!! But I use a spinning rod most of the time and try to hit a target. Not too concerned about distance.
  15. Welcome to the site. It is a good place to learn and share. Spend some time looking through old posts and get a feel for things. Lot of folks make tackle as a hobby. Not many of us make money doing it. Maybe you will, but you should already have a company name and a business plan. Make a good product, because you have a lot of competition.
  16. Nope! Every single one I loose is the biggest one I ever hooked!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  17. I fish the same area. Was there yesterday but no luck. I usually don't start catching many before March. Catch a few hybrid stripers as a bonus too. Good luck.
  18. I just estimate......usually on the heavy side for both numbers and weight!!
