  1. Nope. That’s to complicated and too much drama. I just go fishing and use the stuff I have confidence in.
  2. Great. I saw Jerry perform several times. One of the funniest story tellers ever. Comedy doesn’t have to be vulgar.
  3. Jerry Clower!!
  4. Two of my grandchildren had a great time on Smith Mountain Lake yesterday fishing with Captain Travis Patsell.
  5. I like both. As most here on this forum, I have caught lots of fish on both live bait and artificial baits. I have been fishing for 60 years. There are times now when I enjoy a good relaxing fishing trip just sitting back watching my line move or watching the float disappear. I don’t have anything to prove either way.
  6. Weird things happen all the time while fishing. Enjoy them for what they are. You will never know for sure what happened. Keep fishing ?!
  7. Hmmm. You just insulted most of us here. I sure hope that’s not true. I actually think there are more fishermen who will pick up trash than those who leave it. I bag some up almost every trip. I do agree though. Those who leave trash sure do a good (or bad!) job at it.
  8. X2 on YouTube. Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see a way to inject the Pit Boss.
  9. Enjoy and embrace each and every birthday you get. My advice to you: 1. Take care of family. 2. Be kind to your knees!
  10. Nope not for me. I’ve never really seen any better results using scents. Others have though, so maybe you’re onto something!! Keep good records over a period of time and share with us. Good luck.
  11. ^x3. If I’m telling the story without showing the pic, I’d make it bigger than that ?! Nice fish anywhere. Way to go.
  12. I’d just call him Big Hank and let the picture speak for itself. I love a good fishing story. Way to go.
  13. Replace the entire tip. It is an easy fix.
  14. I know you said bass but there is some excellent striper fishing in East TN. Might look at a striper guide.
  15. Fishing with grandchildren. The absolute best!!
  16. I love fishing with grandkids! He got a bonus, a nice surprise walleye. Oops, sorry about the sideways pictures.
  17. Took my granddaughter out for some fishing and put three 18 inch smallmouth in the boat.
  18. Soft wood will tend to do that more than hardwood. Try some poplar and see if you have better results. Superglue makes a good sealer. No reason not to seal before you drill if it works for you. Good luck. Post some finished work!
  19. X2 on the plastic dip.
  20. Don’t remember who sent this pic to me, but I ain’t fishing it!!!
  21. This really doesn’t need to get ugly. Yes I’m old, but I don’t think young folks are jerks and crybabies. In fact, I do my own share of whining at times. I lost my dad when I was 7 years old. I don’t remember ever doing anything with him. My stepfather was an excellent teacher and fishing partner to me. I also lost a good friend and fishing partner to cancer way too early. I know this is a fishing forum and fishing is certainly important to all of us. But it is not THE most important thing. Now, let’s play nice. Sorry, don’t mean to preach.
  22. Be patient with them and enjoy time together. I suspect they have been very patient with you as well.
  23. Red Ambassadeur 5000. Got two of them for HS graduation present 1971. Still have both of them.
  24. They probably work very well at times. I have 2 crank baits that I spray painted solid black. I’ve caught a bunch of fish off of them.
