  1. My opinion: No one out there can dominate over the pros. Compete with them? Yes. Even beat a few once in a while. But the pros are going to win most of the time over any average Joe. There are several guys on this forum that are much better than the average Joe.
  2. Sunrise on SML. Thanks.
  3. Nah! Man up and go for it! Most you’ll end up with is “sandpaper rash”. Just get a tight hold on him. He’ll flop out of your hand.
  4. And they are smallmouth catching machines!! Try the real thing sometime.
  5. Way to go. Hope you beat that one soon!
  6. “Lucky for him I zipped right over there and got it” You’re a good man. I think I’d rather deal with a bear than a skunk.
  7. My dad died when I was young. My step dad was my fishing partner. He spent a lot of time with me on the water. Good memories.
  8. Very well said. Thanks!
  9. Very nice bud! Where did it come from?
  10. Welcome! Light line and stealth in a creek goes a long way.
  11. I’m left handed, so I hold the fish with my right and un-hook with the left.
  12. I always put the oil in first, then add the gas. Been doing it that way for years with no problems.
  13. Quiet morning on the New!
  14. If you know you’re putting fish in a livewell, you need to be prepared. Treatment should be part of your equipment, just like a good pair of needle nose pliers. Bleeding fish or not.
  15. That looks like a nice smallwater freshmouth to me. ? Beats shopping anyway, right?
  16. That looks to be a wire-through bait. Cut the hooks off with a dremel or good side cutters. Add hooks back on with split rings.
  17. Congratulations!! June 21 is our anniversary as well. 47 great years.
  18. Congratulations to Hank. And by the way, I have caught LOTS of fish on an Ugly Stick. In fact, I have caught several on an ugly STICK when I was younger!!
  19. Man that’s a generous offer. Wish I was close. Hope you get some company.
  20. Clay Dyer. You can do what you want/need to do. I’d be very careful with it. Let it heal.
